Sid Meier's Civilization is a 1991 turn-based strategy video game published by MicroProse. The game is a formative example of the 4X genre, where players achieve victory through four routes: "eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate" #DOS #retrogames #retrogaming #dosgaming

I have LOVED Civilization since the first one came out. It came out in 1991, and it was one of the 1st DOS big box games I bought when I built my 1st PC in 1993, an 386SX25. I still have 1-5 in Big box, medium box or plastic case, whichever they were sold in.
