Then Major General Mohsen Rezaei delivered the harder message: “Enough negotiations. An Islamic Republic state TV host openly said that even if the United States occupied southern Iran, “the world would not end.” The regime is now conditioning the Iranian public to accept the possibility of a U.S. ground invasion and foreign troops on Iranian soil. It also exposes the hollowness of decades of propaganda claiming the Islamic Republic is indispensable to Iran’s security.
