Talks have been on trade that is already happening & doesn’t move the needle. 2⃣ Rules of origin remains an issue. The 🇺🇸 wants to ensure 🇨🇦 content in exported products adheres to the agreement. 3⃣ On dairy, 🇨🇦 continues to violate the terms while giving preferential access to the EU. Banning products (alcohol) is also a violation. The 🇺🇸 has not banned any 🇨🇦 products. 4⃣ Auto manufacturing is moving to the 🇺🇸 regardless of the negotiations. 5⃣ Talks will continue but the 🇺🇸 wants outcomes. Defiance, retaliation, waiting things out has failed. A new approach is required. We need to get to the table. Perhaps our 🇲🇽 friends can help us.

He speaks more truth to power than they can handle. 1⃣ We are far more dependent on the 🇺🇸 than they are on us. 2⃣ If 🇨🇦 cannot maintain the current level of free trade in the negotiation, it will be catastrophic for our economy. 3⃣ The only meaningful way to diversify away from the 🇺🇸 is with greater energy exports but the “Laurentian consensus” has severely hindered this. 4⃣ If there’s any change to the level of access the 🇨🇦 auto sector has to the 🇺🇸, we will lose the industry.

MTG continues to torch the GOP. I can't believe I agree with Marge. "I don't think Republicans ignoring the health insurance crisis is gonna be good for midterms. Not being focused on America First policies is detrimental as well... Costs have not come down. My electricity bill is $100 more than it was last year. Prices have not come down. That is a reality. Wages have not gone up. Americans are continuing to have difficulty getting by."

Youth unemployment is pushing ~15% and nearly a million young people aren’t in work or school. But there’s another layer underneath this. Labour supply has surged. The TFW program has expanded far beyond seasonal work into retail, service, and even parts of white-collar jobs. At the same time, higher-value roles are being offshored. More competition, fewer quality opportunities. That’s not just stagnation, that’s pressure on wages and on the future. And yet 🇨🇦 still has everything most countries don’t. Resources, talent, world-class universities, a top-tier AI ecosystem, deep institutional capital. On paper, this should be a powerhouse economy. The problem isn’t what 🇨🇦 has. It’s how it’s being run. If that gap gets addressed, this story flips fast. If it doesn’t, the divide only gets worse.
