No ifs, ands, or buts. If you rape a child, you should face the death penalty. We introduced the Death Penalty for Child Rapists Act to make it law across the country. We also secured an amendment in the House-passed NDAA authorizing the death penalty under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for anyone convicted of raping a child. Child rapists do not deserve to live. And they certainly should not serve in our military.

That is why today’s HELP Committee hearing on fraud in federally funded child care programs was so important.
