Since people have been asking, here's some beginner friendly-ish A3 customs for learning V Not meant to be optimal, but can do enough damage to keep people honest, while avoiding harder sequences/crouch cancels when possible Full video with more setups:

You must avoid hitting a neutral state during customs, or the opponent can tech flip to escape. That means you must always be in either recovery or actively doing something. That's why the sequences are so rote/set in stone compared to customs in other games.

Definitely need more videos like this for A3

i'm still practicing those ones for cody and idk how optimal or good they are but they look cool

I'm pretty sure this is my first time seeing some of these, but the one that stands out to me the most is Dhalsim's. For how complicated it looks vs amount of damage, would A-Dhalsim be more efficient/ranked higher than V-Dhalsim?

V-Dhalsim is much stronger. However, A-Dhalsim is still top tier. He has yoga escape, which makes him mostly immune to infinites and allows him to get out of many setups, along with the best overall toolset in the game and amazing mobility (drills, slides, air tele, etc).

My bad, I meant X-Dhalsim, not A.

X-Dhalsim is significantly worse than other versions 'cause he has no controllable limbs and can't air block or use yoga escape. He does get a very very good super though.

I always thought his damage made up for it, even with the X-ism shortcomings, but I never played him competitively

A bit more damage doesn't make up for all the stuff he loses. He basically loses half his normals, and not being able to escape customs/infinites is a massive loss. Not being able to air block with his floaty jump is also not good.
