OMG… $7 MILLION on lobster tails for the troops?! Look, if you’re trying to cut military spending, deployment meals is NOT where you start. Anybody who knows anything about the military knows about these meals, they give the troops steak and lobster before they ship out. That’s existed forever. But here’s my real solution: Let’s put people on food stamps on MREs only. Watch a 98% drop in SNAP overnight. Problem solved. Billions saved every year. Then we can send the troops as much steak as we want. Brilliant, right? The military is actually one of the few things in this country that still WORKS when we need it. Sure, there’s waste in the Pentagon, old contracts and all that, but obsessing over lobster tails while ignoring the real fraud?Hysterical. I’ve seen the Bureau of Labor blow more than that on furniture during COVID when offices were empty. And $6 BILLION on laundry detergent… while nobody was even wearing uniforms. But sure. Last workout of the year! As the year comes to an end, I’ve been checking a few baselines to see where I’m at and plan the year ahead. Training’s been a bit inconsistent recently, but with a reduced playing schedule coming up it’ll allow me to train a bit harder and experiment with some things I’ve always wanted to try. It can sometimes get boring over the years if you’re doing similar things relentlessly, year on year. Now that I’ve got a bit more freedom, I’ll be taking advantage of that and adding some fun back in. I’ll be jumping back on the speed train soon too, as my clubhead speed has been down since breaking my ankle last year. I’ll be sharing some of that in the new year and seeing what I can get it back to.
