I've been playing with a feature for my prose editor, I call "ghost cut". Y'all know how to cut and paste. You hit ctrl+x, the text disappears and goes into the clipboard. Then you move the caret and ctrl+v to paste it into a new location. You've done that a bazillion times, I bet. An annoyance I have with this is that as soon as you cut, the text reflows—and you have to reorient yourself in the "page". The solution I'm playing with is to ghost the text that was just cut. It only disappears from view once you paste it. I'm kinda liking it so far. But there is more testing to be done. Does anyone know of any precedence for this? I've not seen this in any editor or word processor.

This dad called 911 because his seven year old autistic son wasn’t behaving and was having a tantrum. The officer that spoke with him told the father that it was completely inappropriate to call the police over this. He said they have an entire town to protect and three officers responded and then asks the dad while chuckling - “can’t handle a seven year old?” The dad tells him that he has called 911 twice before but no one has ever got mad at him like this officer. The officer tells him that they are approaching charging him with false summoning a police officer. He also tells him that if he can’t handle a seven year then maybe they should get CYS involved because clearly the dad needs parenting classes. 😳 Many said the officer was rude and didn’t have to be. That his job is to protect and SERVE the community and that the family was just reaching out, that he needed support and someone to to talk to because they have no idea how hard it is to raise an autistic child? But others said this is not a job for a police officer, that they aren’t counselors and therapists and that there are many resources available through the city that he should using. 💯 I am team police officer. Some may find it rude but this is not in their job description. And being the third time? You have to put a stop to the 911 calls. What do you think? People are using this opinion to claim that Muslims taking out interest-based mortgages is permissible. Question: Is it permissible to conduct interest (riba) based transactions in Western countries? Mufti Saif al-'Asri: This question is very important, especially if the intention of this Muslim, who lives in a Muslim country, is to introduce them to Islam and its way of life, and to be an exemplary person that people imitate. So, if when he comes to a non-Muslim country, he says: "There's an opinion that the Hanafis have which considers it permissible to conduct otherwise impermissible transactions in non-Muslim lands. So, it's permissible for me to sell pigs to them and it's permissible for me to engage in interest (riba) based transactions with them. Some Hanafis make the condition that he is the one receiving the interest and not giving it, meaning he's the one receiving the benefits (of the interest based transaction) and he's not benefiting the one he's conducting a transaction with, and so forth. This is an opinion, an opinion that exists. We can't wipe away this jurisprudential opinion. And it has its evidence. However, the vast majority of scholars, and it's even an opinion within the Hanafi school itself, are of the view that it is haram for a Muslim to conduct an impermissible transaction with a non-Muslim. It is not permissible for him (a Muslim) to conduct an interest based transaction with him (Non-Muslim), nor is it permissible to sell or buy alcohol from him, nor is it permissible to sell him pork, and so on and so forth. This is not a university in some Islamic country. This prayer was held at UCLA in California. Perhaps some think this is a harmless prayer, something that we can understand as freedom of religion. And just that is a mistake that could destroy the West. This is not a private matter, this shows how hard they could weigh on political decisions. This religious display of power has no place in a university. Praying with such a large group is a manifestation of power which falls under the political piece of Islam. Islam is gaining ground thanks to its presence in everyday life. It’s not just confined to the private sphere as it is with other religions. The words "Allahu akbar" recur every time in a prayer to remind people that "Allah is the greatest" of all gods. In Arabic, "kabir" means "great", "akbar" means "GREATEST". With such manifestations, they want to show their power. And they want to show that they will dominate. This is far from innocent, time to wake up.

Such a fitting slogan for daycare that has been violated a few years ago for “subjected children to prohibited disciplinary actions.” Many say Islam is incompatible with the west, more so with daycares in the west. My understanding that some interpretations of “Hadith” is that they are allowed to beat children if they do not pray to their false god by the age of 10. Not saying that’s what happened, just expressing an opinion that people who participate in religion founded on a man who married a 6 year old might not be the perfect candidates for child care operators….
