Singh: When I was in the administration, you were incredibly critical of Secretary Austin not being transparent with the American people about his condition. And I find it just so interesting that you're not being critical of a sitting senator who represents the state of Kentucky, not being transparent with his constituents. We are at almost a month, and we have no idea why Mitch Mcconnell has been hospitalized. And you're not being critical. Jennings: if you want to be mean about me being concerned about my friend, you're welcome to do it.

Here is another bombshell Mitch McConnell clip from the June 4, 2026 vote-a-rama. In this clip, you can clearly see that John Thune and John Barrasso, two leaders of the Senate, were aware that Mitch McConnell was having difficulty voting and required assistance that evening from Senate staff and from McConnell’s handler, a man frequently seen wheeling him around Capitol Hill. Another interesting thing I observed throughout the vote-a-rama is that Thune and Barrasso did not appear to spend any meaningful amount of time speaking with McConnell. That makes the reports of their roughly 20-minute conversations with him while he was hospitalized particularly intriguing.

Beshear: "There's an argument out there that August 3 is a date where I could not later call a special election. Those that are really pushing this I think are under the impression that a Democrat in Kentucky might be able to win that election. It's been since 1992 that we had a Democratic senator in Kentucky. You mentioned a lot of missed votes. I want to point out some other missed votes that might not be a bad thing. McConnell hasn't been there to vote on the SAVE Act, which would tear voting rights away. He hasn't been there to vote to support this war on Iran that this president started and shouldn't be continuing ... not having Mitch McConnell show up isn't necessarily a bad thing because he certainly doesn't show up to help the American people."

He also wants to make the Senate an "independent institution," which really means he wants to stifle Trump's influence in the Senate. I feel like McConnell is going to be a big problem. Many garbage GOP Senators consult with him instead of getting consent from their constituents. Call your Senator and tell them to Ditch Mitch FOREVER.

Asked Jayson Tatum if — given how everything panned out — he still felt certain that he made the right decision to return this season after so much back and forth: “100%. I'm very happy that I came back to be a part of this team, got back to doing what I love, to help give us a chance to compete for a championship, to prove to myself that I can get back to being the guy who I was, and hopefully better. And just to kind of defy what this injury means — not necessarily from a standpoint of, ‘I'm great look at what I was able to accomplish,‘ but to give other guys hope. Obviously I don't want anybody to have to go through tearing their Achilles, but in the unfortunate event that it does happen, that I can be sort of inspirational — if you attack rehab a certain way if you follow these guidelines, or do it a certain way, that it's not like a career-ending injury, that you can come back, that you can be yourself, that you can be better, that it won't take 18 months, that you can come back, whenever is right for you. So I'm happy and proud of the fact that I was able to do that, and unfortunately, if somebody else has to deal with this, they can look at what I was able to do and and have some hope and inspiration that it's not what people used to think it was. Brooks Koepka has sat and waited to get into the last two signature events as an alternate only to head home Thursday after not getting into the events. It's not the first time in his career it happened, but he also is understanding of the position he is in. Koepka is playing in Myrtle Beach this week. "The way I look at it is I'm itching to get in, but I'm accepting of where I'm at, and I understand that there's prices to pay for coming back, and I'm willing to accept those and whatever I have to do. "I knew this year was going to be challenging to even get in them. I kind of thought maybe by around U.S. Open, but to know that I'm kind of knocking on the door already is a good thing. Just the answer to everything is play better, and you're in."
