"Sinners" made Academy Awards history recently when it garnered a record 16 Oscar nominations. One, for Best Supporting Actor, went to Delroy Lindo, a 73-year-old veteran actor now receiving his first nomination. Jeffrey Brown spoke to Lindo for more.

Delroy Lindo is such a slept on actor, it hurts. This man should have multiple Oscar nominations at this point. His resume is dripping with hits. He also happens to be one of my favorite parts of Ryan Coogler’s Sinners. I wonder if the Oscars will make room for Delroy this time.

Delroy Lindo’s been making films better for five decades & I’ll be damned if I don’t use every last ounce of effort I have to see that Lindo is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Sinners. The Academy he should’ve been nominated long before this. Please give the man his due.
