Sirisia MP Waluke humiliated a disabled Kenyan by forcing him to run in front of CS Murkomen and salute, to “prove” the disabled can’t serve in police. This is cruelty disguised as politics. Disability is not inability. Leaders like Waluke are the real disgrace.

The NDIS will destroy us all if we let it, and it will take the poor and the disabled with it. The NDIS is destroying productivity at a scale never seen before in this country and we're borrowing from the future in order to consume in the present, impoverishing ourselves as seen in our declining standards of living. What's the answer? To abandon the disabled? No, of course not. The answer is to deal with the cost of government and the cost of living so that disabled people and their families are better able to take care of themselves, with community support for those in greatest need, because the cost of living is manageable, taxes are minimal, and community support is available.
