Only the television shows and movies are canon. So get over it.

Let's not add to the already mountain of crap trying to profit off of ST and SW. The Sisko/Emissary never returned to temporal space, and was never seen again except perhaps in short episodes like when people had visions with the other Prophets.

Fiction has to maintain a thread of realism. He ascended into the celestial temple because the Sisko is of Bejor (wormhole alien) Him returning to Star Fleet would be like a Wormhole Alien working at Rom's Bar.

Sisko never returning was the right ending. He was supposed to die, but Avery Brooks refused to do that because he didn’t want a black man abandoning his unborn child, which is dumb since he would be dying in the line of duty, which is not in any way dishonorable.

I would accept a new Trek series with Avery Brooks returning as Sisko. Preferably including his family: Jake, Cassidy, and their child.

Well, no he didn’t, not in alpha canon as we learn in SFA that Sisko, like Dr Sam Beckett, never returned home. Oh well

Wait what, I thought Sisko became one of the wormhole aliens? When did he get the galaxy class then?

🚨 THE GALATIC FEDERATION IS REAL – & I BELIEVE IT IS CONNECTED TO BOTH STAR TREK AND THE NINE! 👁️🛸 Friends...This is a photo of me with Professor Haim Eshed, the former DIRECTOR of SPACE PROGRAMS at Israel’s Ministry of Défense! For those who don't know, Haim is NOT just another voice in the UFO world. This is a man who spent DECADES leading Israel's space security programme &, in recent years, became internationally famous when, in 2020 – he bravely stepped forward & told news outlets around the world, what he KNEW to be true: That there is, in fact, a GALACTIC FEDERATION! Yes, yes, I know it sounds like something from STAR TREK (but if you keep reading you may find out WHY!) Haim insists the FEDERATION really does exist – & he says world governments have KNOWN this for YEARS! And, you know what – I totally believe him! 🚨 And here is something that may BLOW YOUR MIND… Many of you may know that Dr Andrija Puharich and I received numerous communications in the 1970s from a group of beings who described themselves as an intergalactic "Council" & called themselves "THE NINE". BUT what you may not know is that GENE RODDENBERRY, the creator of Star Trek, was part of a group of researchers, thinkers and experiencers who ALSO received communications from the NINE! Gene even came to visit me when I lived in New York to talk about aliens, UFOs and the communications we’d BOTH received from the “Council of Nine”! These communications DIRECTLY influenced the content of the Star Trek franchise (so much so that many people believe that the name of his TV show “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” was a direct homage/reference to the NINE!) I also strongly suspect that what Haim calls the Galactic Federation is directly connected to SAME intelligence that I, Andrija Pucharic & Gene Rodenberry all received communications from! I wil tell you much, much more about the INCREDIBLE messages we received from the "Council of NINE" very soon, in a future post, but for now I can tell you that Haim and I are working on a BIG project together. I cannot reveal more yet... But trust me: The next chapter will be VERY interesting ⚡️ #UFO #Disclosure #GalacticFederation #UAP

TOS re-watch day 29: "The City On the Edge of Forever" often rates as Star Trek's finest hour, at least for the original series. And often rates Top 10 for Star Trek in its entirety. Few other Trek episodes have received as much critical and popular praise. And I am certainly among those Trek fans who agree that it's one of TOS's most moving and evocative stories. But I stop short of awarding it my personal status of most favorite. That probably falls to either, "Devil in the Dark," or "The Doomsday Machine." The latter having been written by a contemporary of Harlan Ellison, who wrote this episode. In each instance Trek was striving to bring actual, competent science fiction authors to the lore. And with "The City On the Edge of Forever" the franchise has a true winner. The time travel stakes are familiar to most of us, now. We who came of age with movies like The Terminator, which was also based loosely (so the legal settlement goes) on a Harlan Ellison story. But in 1967 this wasn't so. And the idea that meddling with the past might dramatically alter the present was something new to a lot of television viewers. Could the life or death of even one person have such a drastic effect on the course of history? How badly would things be derailed by intentional or accidental alteration? McCoy's overdose-induced paranoia and madness is mostly a plot contrivance to arrange the circumstances. As is the Guardian itself. An inexplicable relic of a long-dead civilization which apparently mastered not just space, but also time, and incorporated this mastery into a living, thinking device capable of bridging both. That conceit alone is heady. But what the story does with it is better yet. And Joan Collins is a stunning performer, as Edith Keeler. The woman idealistically seeing toward so much, but through whom the trajectory of the 20th century will be altered terribly if she's allowed to live. It's a very good moral question: if you permit Edith to die, or cause her death, is that somehow better than letting her survive? But in so doing altering events so that a more terrible chain of reality ripples forward in time? Can Kirk live with himself when it's all over? Can Spock? Or Bones? The expressions all three men wear when they re-emerge from the Guardian's open portal, tell precisely the toll their journey has taken. Episodes like this are 100% the reason why Star Trek gained such a broad audience in syndication. For every stinker like "The Alternative Factor" doing Star Trek at its worst, there's a genuine gem like "The City On the Edge of Forever" doing Star Trek at its best. IIRC they re-visited the Guardian in at least one of the old Pocketbooks Star Trek novels. Though, I can't remember ever owning a copy. Such a planet featuring such a device would (given the wider lore of TNG and DS9) almost certainly have become one of the Federation's most tightly-held secrets. The Department of Temporal Investigations specifically would be maniacal in desiring control over the Guardian. Defended and protected at practically any cost. Or even destroyed (if possible) so as to prevent the Guardian from being used or abused by anyone; be they Starfleet, or someone from an adversarial nation.
