Carney ignores his own claim that "China is Canada's biggest threat," taking no action despite the warning. Move along, nothing to see here... 🫠

"The Democratic Party's actions had left many U.S. citizens feeling humiliated. Signs of a Trump victory were proclaimed well before Biden withdrew from the race. The voters had had enough." 📝 @KarinaLMariani

Beijing also targeted Chrystia Freeland because they wanted Carney.

And legacy media and the liberal party are saying and doing what about this? If they can break the caretaker convention to provide CBC with more funding, they can take care of election interference too. So, @liberal_party what are you doing about election interference?

These people are like Norton antivirus, they fucking tell you that there is some bad shit going on and don't actually do anything to fix that problem.

I cannot believe the level of political interference and malfeasance that we have been subjected to for the past decade. It’s even numbed these folks so that saying, “…those statements refer to the bounty placed on Mr. Tay…”, there expression remains bored.

Weird how it is never the liberals that the communists target. Probably a coincidence.

@SheilaGunnReid I felt the SITE representatives were kind of making it and nothing burger. I’d like to hear them being a little bit more admonishing of the behaviors.

Chiang should be charged. He just endangered someone's life. CCP influencers should be hunted down and sent back to China.

Joe Tay calls out Michael Ma over Liberal floor crossing at Markham protest 🇨🇦 Calling on Ma to resign and trigger a by-election, Joe Tay 鄭敬基 warned that Markham—Unionville must not become another example of unchecked foreign influence, arguing that such concerns extend beyond the riding and pose a national threat. On Saturday, a second protest was held outside the office of MP Michael Ma following his decision to cross the floor from the Conservative Party to the Liberals. The demonstration drew a larger and louder crowd than the previous protest on Monday, with former Conservative candidate Joe Tay among those in attendance. Tay previously sought the Conservative nomination in Markham—Unionville but was replaced by Ma before the nomination process concluded. Tay then ran as the Conservative candidate in Don Valley North. During the Markham—Unionville race, Liberal candidate Paul Chiang sparked controversy after remarks made at a Chinese-language media event in January 2025, referencing a HK$1 million bounty issued by Hong Kong authorities against Tay. Chiang reportedly suggested the bounty could be claimed by delivering Tay to Toronto’s Chinese consulate, which prompted justifiable concerns for Tay’s safety. The RCMP subsequently advised Tay to halt door-to-door campaigning. Chiang later withdrew as a candidate, but the damage was done, and Joe Tay’s safety remained a concern. The incident raised valid concerns about foreign interference in Canadian politics. At the protest, Tay explained that he had previously helped Ma secure Conservative candidacy endorsements, believing he was helping a fellow party member. Tay voiced his ongoing concerns about foreign interference, saying, “As someone deeply impacted by foreign interference since last year… it placed me at great risk.” Calling on Ma to resign and trigger a by-election, Tay warned that Markham—Unionville must not become another example of unchecked foreign influence, arguing that such concerns extend beyond the riding and pose a national threat. China affairs expert weighs in on Carney backing disgraced former candidate Mark Carney threw his full support behind former Liberal candidate Paul Chiang after it was revealed he suggested Conservative candidate Joe Tay be handed over to the Chinese consulate for a cash bounty. On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant 🍁🚛 Show, political commentator and China affairs expert Terence Shen discussed Mark Carney's decision to back disgraced Liberal candidate Paul Chiang after his call to have a Conservative rival turned over to the Chinese Communist Party. Carney said it was a "teachable moment" for the Liberal candidate just one day before Chiang announced he would be "standing aside" from his candidacy in the Markham-Unionville riding. The Liberals faced fierce backlash after the revelation that Chiang suggested the Conservative candidate for Don Valley North, Joe Tay, be handed over to the Chinese consulate for a HK$1 million bounty. The Chinese Communist Party, through the Hong Kong police, placed the bounty on Tay in December of 2024 over his activism and support for pro-democracy protesters in the region. Shen explained why Liberals who say Chiang's comments were just a "joke" don't appreciate the seriousness of the situation. "They say 'it's just a joke,' but we are not stupid. Everybody understood exactly what message Paul Chiang was trying to send," he said. "Paul Chiang essentially suggested people could collect a bounty from a foreign dictatorship on his Canadian political opponent right in front of a group of reporters. Clearly his intention was to portray his opponent as a criminal," Shen added. "To me that's a textbook case of foreign interference." Carney announced that the Liberals would be 'moving on' to select a new candidate for the riding and said he would "leave it at that."
