“The last time that we were touring and stuff, I think touring is quite an isolating experience. And on top of that, when we started touring, it was 2021, so it was kind of like still depths of the pandemic. We were like one of the first tours to go back out. So I think that tour started in that way where it was like, I was really bubbled up even kind of within the tour. And then staying on that tour, we put an album out and it ended up being like two and a half years type time. It's just a long time to be in like a bubble where you're not really spending that much time like in the world around you, other than shows and hotels and stuff. And when I finished, I kind of went off and was spending a lot of time in Italy, and was kind of like having this quiet time, and I was just feeling a lot of my life as I was kind of like, craving like quiet and kind of like private spaces. I was just feeling myself kind of like shut out a lot of the world, “I think, and I think the last couple of years for me was about, you know, there's a lot of things that I think I got used to saying no to, like invites from friends and like maybe a weekend trip or like a birthday party or something. The most successful traders and investors are gonna be in a drawdown most of the time. Like even this year, even though I'm up at least 500%, I've spent half of the year in a drawdown, at least. So expecting to be like peak equity all the time, it's just not gonna happen. You're gonna spend most of your time in a drawdown, even on a really good year. That's just how it works. You just need to realize it and you need to accept it. Look at something like AMZN, one of the best stocks like ever, in the history of the world. It's up what? 200,000% since the IPO. Now look at the amount of time it's been in a drawdown. out of the 23 years it's been public, it was in a drawdown for 15 years. NFLX out of 8 years, it has been in a drawdown almost half of the time. Being in a drawdown is normal. It’s not an anomaly. The question is how big of a drawdown are you gonna be in. I try to limit my drawdowns to 10-15% but sometimes they become more severe than that. Drawdowns, it's the nature of the game. If you want to have big returns, you are going to have drawdowns. If you don't have drawdowns, it means you don't take any risk. And if you don't take any risk, you won't have any returns.”

Two years ago today, Elon Musk introduced xAI with these words: “The overarching goal of xAI is to build a good AGI with the purpose of trying to understand the universe. I think the safest AI, the safest way to build an AI is actually make one that is maximally curious and truth seeking. So you go for try to aspire to the truth with acknowledged error. Does one ever actually get fully to the truth? It's not clear, but one should always aspire to that and try to minimize the error between what you think is true and what is actually true. My theory behind the maximally curious, maximally truthful as being probably the safest approach is that I think to a superintelligence, humanity is much more interesting than not humanity. One can look at the various planets in our solar system, the moons and the asteroids, and really probably all of them combined are not as interesting as humanity. As people know, I'm a huge fan of Mars, but Mars is just much less interesting than Earth with humans on it. And so I think that that kind of approach to growing an AI, and I think that is the right word for it, growing an AI is to grow it with that ambition. I've spent many years thinking about AI safety and worrying about AI safety. And I've been one of the strongest voices calling for AI regulation or oversight just to have some kind of oversight, some kind of referee, so that it's not just up to companies to decide what they want to do. I think there's also a lot to be done with AI safety, with industry cooperation. I kind of like Motion Pictures association, so I think there's value to that as well. But I do think there's got to be some like in any kind of situation that is, even if it's a game, they have referees. So I think it is important for there to be regulation. Like I said, my view on safety is like try to make it maximally curious, maximally truth seeking. And I think this is, this is important that you to avoid the inverse morality problem. Like if you try to program a certain morality, you can have the, you, you can basically invert it and get the opposite, what is sometimes called the Waluigi problem. If you make Luigi, you risk creating Waluigi at the same time. So I think that's a metaphor that a lot of people can appreciate.”

So every day that we have twenty-two percent going through the strait shut down, it's drawing down slowly all strategic reserves and the oil that's on the water in tankers. If this is going to be a prolonged situation, it'll be bad outcome. In talking just with investors as a result of this war, we're gonna be spending a whole ton of money on new inexpensive drone technology and a ton of money on AI because this war has all been done using technology. This is a tech war and it gives you a kind of an idea of what it would look like if China acted up and they wanted to take out Taiwan. We've got to get ready with more AI.

Everyone This Is So Important, PLEASE Take The Time To Listen To Or Read This Post American Electrician Drops Extremely Important Facts About What’s Being Put Into Our Atmosphere ☣️ “I was just out back with my dogs and I grabbed a handful of this stuff and I was going to let it melt on my hands just like this. Okay. One there's a big ice film on here. So I held it and I threw it down and what was left, I wanted to see if it was just going to melt and it did. I was about to throw it down and do this but then I smelled it. I'm an electrician. Whenever burning wire is in a wall or there's an arc, there's a smell that happens instantly. It's called ozone. You know that smell very well as an electrician. You walk in a house, you smell ozone. You know there's a fire. There's an electrical fire somewhere. So I'm trained to smell that smell. And I've never smelled it in snow. Now I'm Gen X and as a boy, 70s and 80s, after the rain you know you would smell an ozone smell and uh it was kind of natural you know it's a little bit just a little bit of ozone uh for just a few minutes but i've never ever ever smelled it in snow so i went and looked it up and uh i want to know the effects of ozone when 48 states all have snow at one time and it's coated in ozone what could that mean Well, when I looked it up, when I looked it up, what it said was that ozone has an effect on humans of irritation to the lungs, coughing, bronchitis, emphysema, all these things can be aggravated. And I know they're about to roll out disease X. They're about to say that everybody's got all these lung issues and all this. So, I started looking at what would cause snow to have this level of ozone to still be trapped in here like this. And ozone, oh so this is the thing, snow forms at around 50,000 feet. And your rain is usually 30,000 feet and lower. And I've always known that even when I was young. And then that changed in the late 90s. They were talking about the clouds were at 50,000 feet it was raining outside that's unnatural it doesn't make any sense and that's when you know i started to realize it was weather modification stuff going on but anyway the point is i started looking into it uh online and said that uh high levels of ozone would come from uh man-made things pollution this and that you know so so they've put something up there in the sky they put something up there to cause all this snow. And we, if you're on this channel, if you're on this page, you already know, or you should, that they're doing, they're manipulating everything. But what they've done is they have sent something down here to us. And we're all out here, it's all about to melt, and we're all gonna breathe it at one time. And it was online, it was saying that massive doses of ozone all at one time are extremely detrimental. They're gonna cause a lot of lung issues, a lot of wheezing, a lot of chest irritation. So, be prepared, watch out for it. Because I was looking around, I mean, it's like 34 here right now. And this isn't melting the way snow usually melts. Like there's a little bit of water right there. But normally, I mean, you know, you've got rivers running down the side of my street and you don't. It's like, it's like it's just evaporating. I've never seen snow melt in this fashion before. Like, my driveway's dry. Like, look at this. See the wet line? There's a wet line and a dry line. And it shouldn't be that way, you know? Workday followed Peoplesoft. ServiceNow followed Peregrine and Remedy, and others. So they were just kind of, cloud SaaS versions of the prior generation product. They just understood the customers. They understood the problem. And they were just like, here's a better version. And that evolved a little bit over time in SaaS land. But that's what it is. And so product development in that way was done by people who really understood the customer and the problems. And then just took advantage of the next wave. And this is almost diametrically opposite of product development in the AI era. When I look at the teams that are having the most success today, they have intimate knowledge of the models. They are right on the frontier of understanding which models are better at what, and why, and when. And what they're going to be good at and what they're not going to be good at. And what they're spending their time on, is figuring out how do I apply this capability of this model to this domain or to this user. So they're actually working inside out or technology out, versus customer problem in. And of course, they understand the customer problem. And a lot of times they have firsthand knowledge of it. But they're really close to the metal and capability, and they're applying it. And I think this is a really different way to develop products than in SaaS. I started my career as a product manager a long time ago, and it's almost the complete opposite of everything you learned. "Listen to the customer, understand it, then bring it back to the engineering and product teams." If you did that right now, ask a bunch of customers what they want out of AI, and you brought it back, for the most part, it may not be possible today with today's technology. Whereas the teams that are winning right now really understand the technology and are applying it out. And so I think this reversal matters. I think it's a big difference in terms of how companies are getting built. And maybe even the types of entrepreneurs that will be successful. I'm not sure. You're seeing some real change there. Look at the Bret Taylor's at Sierra. That's a super, super technical founder who really gets it. Brett and Clay really get it. You look at Michael and his co-founders at Cursor. They're super technical founders and they get it. They all really understand what these things can and can't do. And that's a pretty different dynamic relative to the way the best SaaS companies got built." From Eric Vishria on how the top AI founders are building products completely opposite of the SaaS era: "One of the things that is really different in the AI world versus the SaaS world, is that in the SaaS world, over and over again, you had people who really understood the customer. And the problem. And then they understood a domain. They understood what the technology was more or less capable of. But it wasn't a real question of if you could build something or not. For example, take Salesforce, Workday, and ServiceNow. CRM existed before Salesforce. HR management existed before Workday. Same thing with ServiceNow. So in every case, Salesforce followed Siebel. The first thing, for me, is that model and product capability just hit this threshold near AGI, whatever the hell you want to call it. And everybody, like Altimeter, said, ‘Damn, this is so good. I have to have it. This is no longer about my IT budget. This is about labor augmentation and labor replacement. Turns out that the TAM for intelligence is radically different than anything we've seen before. And I think the best example of this, right, this is millions of self-interested parties, consumers, enterprises, a thousand now over $1M, right? It's not that there was some great go to market at Anthropic that all of a sudden they snuck up and blew everybody away. No, it was companies demanding the product. They're getting throttled on the product. Why? Because it's so good. It makes them better at their business. We knew intelligence was going to scale on the exponential. The question was whether revenue will scale on the exponential, and that's what we're seeing. And remember, they're doing this with only 1.5-2 gigawatts of compute, and the models are only getting better. So I think when you look out toward the end of the year, I would not be shocked if you see Anthropic exiting this year at $80-$100B in revenue.”

“What did you think of Lando being booed at race because people and I've seen it online as well say he doesn't deserve the title because McLaren favored him over his teammate. Do you think that's total nonsense?” Jacques Villeneuve: “That's a little bit ridiculous. When there was some booing in some races, that was embarrassing. You should never boo a driver that's clean, doesn't do anything dirty, on track is respectful, and on top of it is super fast. What's wrong with people? That was embarrassing. And, had it been that Piastri was a second a lap faster than him and somehow Lando was winning because a lot of things were happening, his car breaking down every time, then you could start thinking, okay, that's really not cool. That's not fair. But that wasn't the case. And in the second half, Norris has been faster right at the beginning as well, last year as well. So there's this whole middle of the season where Piastri was driving a lot better than Norris and was getting the points. Norris had an engine blowing up, not Piastri. And so those fans, they don't look at that either. You have to look at the whole picture, at the whole season. And suddenly if your favorite is starting to go backwards, you just got to bite the bullet and accept it. Your favorite is just going backwards. That doesn't mean that the other one is treated better or the other one is undeserving just because the one you're a fan of is not winning right now. That’s really wrong. If you're a fan of the sport, then you have to be a fan of the sport and understand when your driver is maybe not cutting it at this point in time, even though he was before and he will in the future again. It's all a question of timing. But that's the price we have to pay now with social media and how big F1 has become. It's very passionate. The people are passionate and once, you know, fans come from fanatism, you stop thinking, when you get in that mindset and it happens to all of us. You want something so much that you get attached and you cannot - it's hard to start seeing reality. So you will try to mold the reality to your thought process and if your champion is not winning then it cannot be his fault. It has to be something from the outside. It has to be the team destroying his chance or not favoring and so on and so on and so on. But there's nothing concrete behind those comments. It's pure fandom and it'll always be like this. And ultimately it's not a bad thing. You know drivers at that - sportsman at that level have to grow a thick skin. If not, you don't deserve to be there. You just have to have a thick skin because they're all very happy to get the compliments. They love it when it's just positive, but it gets balanced out with negatives and you need to be able to take and accept the negatives as well. It goes both ways. You cannot have the good. You just have to be a thick skin and know that it's part and parcels of what's going on. And in one month, it will be forgotten and maybe everything will change and it be the other driver that suddenly will be criticized and so on. So, it's just that's just the way it is.”

You know, the pie, it just gets tired, right? Things get tired. It's, you know, what we're seeing now is exactly that. If you keep mindlessly buying breakouts, you know, you're going to get your ass handed to you, OK? Got to be really, really selective. I see a lot of people getting into this, you know, they found the breakout setup and think they're gonna be millionaires in a short amount of time.
