Our NFL-BA loss relies on the fact that points closer to the camera (depth map) with orientations facing the camera (normal map) reflect more light. NFL-BA loss is minimized during the Tracking & Mapping phase of existing SLAM frameworks, results shown on 3DGS SLAMs.

SpecNeRF: Gaussian Directional Encoding for Specular Reflections paper page: Neural radiance fields have achieved remarkable performance in modeling the appearance of 3D scenes. However, existing approaches still struggle with the view-dependent appearance of glossy surfaces, especially under complex lighting of indoor environments. Unlike existing methods, which typically assume distant lighting like an environment map, we propose a learnable Gaussian directional encoding to better model the view-dependent effects under near-field lighting conditions. Importantly, our new directional encoding captures the spatially-varying nature of near-field lighting and emulates the behavior of prefiltered environment maps. As a result, it enables the efficient evaluation of preconvolved specular color at any 3D location with varying roughness coefficients. We further introduce a data-driven geometry prior that helps alleviate the shape radiance ambiguity in reflection modeling. We show that our Gaussian directional encoding and geometry prior significantly improve the modeling of challenging specular reflections in neural radiance fields, which helps decompose appearance into more physically meaningful components.

PointOdyssey: A Large-Scale Synthetic Dataset for Long-Term Point Tracking paper page: introduce PointOdyssey, a large-scale synthetic dataset, and data generation framework, for the training and evaluation of long-term fine-grained tracking algorithms. Our goal is to advance the state-of-the-art by placing emphasis on long videos with naturalistic motion. Toward the goal of naturalism, we animate deformable characters using real-world motion capture data, we build 3D scenes to match the motion capture environments, and we render camera viewpoints using trajectories mined via structure-from-motion on real videos. We create combinatorial diversity by randomizing character appearance, motion profiles, materials, lighting, 3D assets, and atmospheric effects. Our dataset currently includes 104 videos, averaging 2,000 frames long, with orders of magnitude more correspondence annotations than prior work. We show that existing methods can be trained from scratch in our dataset and outperform the published variants. Finally, we introduce modifications to the PIPs point tracking method, greatly widening its temporal receptive field, which improves its performance on PointOdyssey as well as on two real-world benchmarks.

Progressively Optimized Local Radiance Fields for Robust View Synthesis paper page: present an algorithm for reconstructing the radiance field of a large-scale scene from a single casually captured video. The task poses two core challenges. First, most existing radiance field reconstruction approaches rely on accurate pre-estimated camera poses from Structure-from-Motion algorithms, which frequently fail on in-the-wild videos. Second, using a single, global radiance field with finite representational capacity does not scale to longer trajectories in an unbounded scene. For handling unknown poses, we jointly estimate the camera poses with radiance field in a progressive manner. We show that progressive optimization significantly improves the robustness of the reconstruction. For handling large unbounded scenes, we dynamically allocate new local radiance fields trained with frames within a temporal window. This further improves robustness (e.g., performs well even under moderate pose drifts) and allows us to scale to large scenes. Our extensive evaluation on the Tanks and Temples dataset and our collected outdoor dataset, Static Hikes, show that our approach compares favorably with the state-of-the-art.

SUPPLEMENTING YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT WITH AN INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULB IMPROVES MITOCHONDRIAL FUNCTION! - A brand new (Jan 23th, 2026) paper published by Glen Jeffery and Edward Barrett demonstrates how adding a 60 W incandescent lamp to participants work desk dramatically improves color contrast, or a proxy for color vision. The intervention here is simply placing an incandescent lightbulb on the desk without direct irradiation on participants. And this is huge: “we have obtained significant balanced improvements in both the protan and tritan range. Previously, exposure to restricted experimental 670 nm resulted in improvements biased strongly in favour of only tritan function. Hence, exposure to full spectrum lighting results in a balanced pattern of improvement in visual performance.” The mechanism seems to be mitochondrial in nature. Short wavelength light, which is dominated in standard LED lighting, reduces mitochondrial function. There’s a reduction in mitochondria ATP production, and therefore a reduced demand for glucose. This intern can increase body weight and serum cytokinin levels. Also, with short wavelength blue light, there is an increase probability of cell aging and death. “It is suggested that this is partly due to 420–450 nm light, dominant in LEDs, being absorbed by porphyrin and the subsequent production of oxygen singlets driving inflammation.” “Conversely, exposure to longer wavelengths is associated with increased mitochondrial membrane potential and increased concentration of mitochondrial complex proteins that have declined with ageing and disease. MaterialFusion Enhancing Inverse Rendering with Material Diffusion Priors discuss: Recent works in inverse rendering have shown promise in using multi-view images of an object to recover shape, albedo, and materials. However, the recovered components often fail to render accurately under new lighting conditions due to the intrinsic challenge of disentangling albedo and material properties from input images. To address this challenge, we introduce MaterialFusion, an enhanced conventional 3D inverse rendering pipeline that incorporates a 2D prior on texture and material properties. We present StableMaterial, a 2D diffusion model prior that refines multi-lit data to estimate the most likely albedo and material from given input appearances. This model is trained on albedo, material, and relit image data derived from a curated dataset of approximately ~12K artist-designed synthetic Blender objects called BlenderVault. we incorporate this diffusion prior with an inverse rendering framework where we use score distillation sampling (SDS) to guide the optimization of the albedo and materials, improving relighting performance in comparison with previous work. We validate MaterialFusion's relighting performance on 4 datasets of synthetic and real objects under diverse illumination conditions, showing our diffusion-aided approach significantly improves the appearance of reconstructed objects under novel lighting conditions. We intend to publicly release our BlenderVault dataset to support further research in this field.

We introduce Pixel Reasoner, the first open-source framework that enables VLMs to “think in pixel space” through curiosity-driven reinforcement learning. Current VLMs reason only in text — even when grounded in rich images or videos, their logical steps are verbalized in natural language. This restricts their ability to interrogate visual evidence and demonstrate how conclusions are drawn. 🔍 So we ask: What if we could make VLMs "show their work" by reasoning directly in the pixel space? Inspired by GPT-o3’s "think-in-image" ability, we propose a framework where VLMs use interactive visual operations — zoom, select-frame, highlight — to reason through complex visual inputs. The UFOs were here again tonight! I was out there with them and just came back in. Something is going on! They’re going to do another big event soon, or something big is about to happen in the world! This isn’t normal—they normally don't come this many times so close together. There were so many tonight I couldn’t count them all! I’ll show everyone what they look like at a distance with the plasma field off. I have them on other cameras doing this too, but the color Starlight camera shows it best. They blink really fast when in large groups like tonight. I don't know if they do that to try and mimic aircraft or why they do it. I see them very closeup here and they are nothing like an aircraft! I use radar apps and satellite tracking apps so I know what everything is flying all around this area. I have been doing this since 2005. I also track the military aircraft that don't show up on radar and I have cameras that can zoom in on them miles away. The UFOs are blinking way faster than any aircraft navigation lights blink when the plasma field is not glowing. They don't blink like this all the time when the plasma is not glowing. They do it many times when in the larger groups for some reason. Some also turned their plasma fields on. Two C-17s and a C-130 flew over on a training mission shortly before the UFOs appeared and were still in the area, so there’s a good chance some USAF pilots saw them tonight. Some of the SOLL pilots have seen them here before over the years when the UFOs jump in behind or above them or near them. They never harm the aircraft. We’ve seen them approach SOLL aircraft many times over the years when the aircraft fly over at tree top level training here and they cause no harm to them. I have the UFOs with the SOLL aircraft on videos together. They just let them know they are here. One of the sphere UFO appeared right in front of a Life Star helicopter beside our house also; the pilot saw it, pulled back, and the UFO instantly jumped away without touching the helicopter or harming it. The small lights higher up crossing the sky are Starlink satellites and there are a few aircraft crossing higher up. The UFOs are all the reddish orange lights blinking fast near the tree line and you can see some of them light the plasma field up. One of the UFOs fly's in a circle pattern while the plasma is lit up.

Here is some videos of the larger craft from 12-4-2024 and some of the UFO Spheres from 12-3-2024. The Spheres have been here every night this week. They have been down low by the house like normal but we have seen many of them flying all around the area very fast. They will blink very fast or keep the plasma field on but at a lower brightness than when they are just hovering beside the house. On 12-4-2024 we were watching the Spheres flying all around then we saw the larger UFO appear after a helicopter circled the area. It stayed beside the house for over an hour only moving about 800 meters in that amount of time. It was under 1000 feet in altitude and bigger than C-17 aircraft. It looked saucer shaped but wider in the center and tapered around the edges. It was showing up very hot on the thermal camera even though no visible light at all was coming from it. The Spheres showed up cold on the thermal camera when the plasma field was not glowing when we filmed them closer up before. This larger craft had the plasma field around it just like the Spheres but it was not glowing. We could not see the craft with our naked eyes or on the starlight camera or IR cameras. Only the thermal camera would pick it up. Can see how the air around it is shimmering and can see the field around it. It looked better in person but what I filmed is important because you all will see this again on some daytime close up videos! I have watched these craft up close many times and they have this plasma field around them and even when its not glowing its there. In the daytime you can see the air shimmering around the craft very good. We have seen them use this to bend the light around the craft someway and turn the craft almost completely invisible but you could still see the air shimmering around the craft. I had some cheap starlight cameras that would pick the larger crafts up when the Spheres were beside them glowing and the larger craft was almost invisible. The glow from the Spheres plasma would outline were the larger craft was and we could see it on those starlight cameras. We had a handheld digital starlight camera when this craft was over us and it would not pick it up at all. This is the real UFOs and we have seen them here for over twenty years and after the close encounters in 2012 they started staying very close to us and showing up very often. Even when we cant see them we have seen things to let us know they are near us. The Spheres can change shape and we have them on videos doing it. The larger craft we have seen have all looked different but the Spheres are a constant even though they can change shape. During the close encounter on 11-8-2012 there were many of the Spheres and two larger U shaped craft that the Beings came out of. On 2-16-2023 there was a larger craft here that was over 300 meters long and is the biggest craft we have seen the Spheres with. The Spheres act like they guard and protect the larger craft each time they are around. The military radar site does not show them either. Monday there was a large increase in commercial fights and some of these aircraft had to see all the smaller craft flying around really fast. Some had the plasma glowing constant but many had it flashing really fast. Way faster than the navigation lights of regular aircraft. Many of the so called drones being seen around the world and in America the last few weeks are these craft and there are some videos going around from New Jersey that shows these craft but some are showing something that looks more man made. On the ones that look more man made there has been sound that sounds like jet engines on many I have seen. The craft here make ZERO sound most of the time! We have only heard a few very strange sounds come from them over the years. One sound sounded like a giant transformer humming during the close encounter on 11-8-2012 and on 2-16-2023 we heard what sounded like very loud trumpets come from the sky! We were not the only ones that heard that. People up the road that can not see this area and that knows nothing about what's going on here told us they heard the trumpet sounds and thought it was the end of the world and told us they started praying! They also told us they saw a light floating through the trees back toward our land. There has been some other strange sounds also and something really strange is in the summer time there are hundreds of thousand of frogs in the swamps around our land when its raining more and when the UFOs show up all the frogs will stop singing at one time. This is on some of the videos I have. When you are out there beside the swamps and there are that many frogs singing then they all stop at one time its very strange! Its not just the frogs, all the animals and insects seem like they stop. Sometimes they do it right before the plasma field turns on and sometimes right after. Two of my male dogs would go crazy also right before the UFOs show themselves. I have other dogs but those two were super sensitive to whatever was coming from the UFOs. I think they all are hearing something from the UFOs that we cant hear or they are feeling what I feel from them when they are closer to me. After 8 months of building in stealth and testing our infrastructure on 10000+ hours of real-world data and hundreds of unique environments, we're bringing FPV Labs into the open today. FPV Labs started with the following bet - if human data proves to be the underlying factor that determines scaling laws in general-purpose robotics, it will trigger the largest economic transformation in human history, and the underlying infrastructure that captures that data will determine how fast we get there. We will achieve this by building the full-stack infrastructure for capturing, processing, transferring, and evaluating human experience into spatial, temporal, and semantic knowledge for machines. Despite all the research novelty behind ChatGPT, its success can be attributed to one foundational fact - the scaling law of transformers. We believe the same dynamics have made their way into robotics. Recent studies showed task completion rates jumping from 30% to 70% when human demonstration data scaled from 1,000 to 20,000 hours, a log-linear trend that mirrors exactly what we saw in language and vision. Seeing these emergent signs of scaling law curves in robotics, we believe we are entering the era of general-purpose robotics policies, which makes the next few years the most exciting time in the history of this field. But the library of physical interactions required to train general-purpose robot policies does not exist yet. Over the last 8 months, we've seen dozens of companies emerge in this space. We were really happy to see new companies pushing this space forward, but we also saw the same pattern repeat: every egocentric data company was making some tradeoffs between quality, scale, and diversity. We have built FPV labs on the core principle that high-quality data is orders of magnitude more valuable than sheer volume. Case in point, self-driving cars collect thousands of hours of data per day, but only a small fraction of that data is actually useful for training better models. Several studies, like RT-2, have shown that as little as 1% of data improves as much as 25% on task success. The quality and diversity of data matter a lot more than scale, so there is clearly a power law curve in the downstream impact of data. We've spent months obsessing over data quality by building our stack, discarding it, rebuilding it, and iterating until we found a formula that doesn't compromise downstream quality at scale. We believe the downstream impact here is far more profound than most people realize. Workers globally are paid around $60 trillion per year in aggregate, and a lion's share of that compensation goes to physical labor - tasks that require navigating real spaces, manipulating real objects, and negotiating the infinite variability of the physical world. Human-to-robot transfer will be one of the most important infrastructures that will shape our society in the near future, and if it works, the economic impact will dwarf every technology transition that came before it in an exponential manner and lead to the creation of goods and services we can’t imagine today. This is how your eyes work. Eyes are part of an irreducibly complex system of structures that work together to give you vision. There is no evolutionary pathway that could produce even the simplest eye. Here is everything you need to know about why eyes did not evolve and are certain evidence of design. This is the proposed version of eye evolution: 1. Photosensitive cell 2. Pigment cells without a nerve 3. Optic nerve surrounded by pigment cells, covered by translucent skin 4. Pigment cells forming a depression 5. Skin gradually takes a lens shape 6. Evolution of muscles for lens to adjust But each one of these steps still relies on a similar irreducibly complex system of machines for vision to function. The very first step, the mythical light sensitive cell, is actually incredibly complex by itself and has no plausible evolutionary pathway. A single photosensitive cell is an incredibly complex system of nanomachines. The simplest known light-sensitive prokaryotic cells have genomes with around ~1.3 million base pairs of DNA information, with around ~1,300–1,400 unique proteins. Knockout tests in cells have been able to simplify cells to 500,000 base pairs of DNA, with close to 500 unique proteins (but these are not light sensitive.) ALL vision systems require rhodopsin proteins. These handy little proteins capture light, transforms light into a signal, and sends that signal down a transduction pathway to the processing center (brain). So basically, ALL vision systems require at least 3 separate major systems, which are themselves filled with multiple subsystems - it's complexity on top of complexity on top of complexity. And none of it works if all of those systems are not in place together. There is no evolutionary pathway by which all of this arises together - nature doesn't engineer multiple interdependent systems together. Eyes are so complex and so different among various organisms today that evolutionists even widely recognize that vision systems must have arisen independently at least 30 times, because there is no genetic pattern to explain the origin of eyes from a common ancestor. The odds of that happening are absolutely absurd. Beyond logic. There is no evidence of eyes evolving in the fossil record, either. Complex, fully functional vision appears almost at the very start of the fossil record. The oldest eye in the fossil record, that of a trilobite, is a complex compound eye originating in the Cambrian, conventionally dated about 540 million years ago. From there, various different kinds of eyes appear in the fossil record of varying degrees of complexity - with both simpler and more complex version of vision systems scattered all throughout in no particular pattern of development. Evolutionists also like to claim the human eye is designed poorly. They point to “blind spots” & “backwards retinas” as evidence of poor design, which is why, they say, evolution makes more sense. But that is completely false, and shows they simply don't understand the biology of the eye in the first place. But this design actually makes our eyes better and fully optimized for our necessities. The Blind Spot: Vertebrates have an inverted retina, where photoreceptors face away from light and nerves bundle through a hole in the back, creating a tiny blind spot. The blind spot is only~1% of visual field and each eye's blind spot overlaps with the seeing part of the other eye - there is no actual vision loss. This could be seen as evidence of intelligently designed coordination. Vertebrate eyes also provide the sharpest vision among animals. Eagles (with inverted retinas) see clearly up to 2–3 miles away and spot prey from great distances. Features like oil droplets in photoreceptors improve color vision, and mitochondrial clumps focus light better, giving higher vision acuity overall. The Inverted design also allows direct, close access to the Retinal Pigment Epithelium (RPE) layer. RPE supplies massive nutrients/oxygen (vertebrate photoreceptors have the body's highest metabolic rate) and removes toxic byproducts from light detection. RPE's dark pigment absorbs stray light, giving a sharper image, and protects against sun damage, which makes our eyes last longer and stay healthier. Cephalopods eyes - often compared as a "better version" by evos who don't know better - have the everted retina which limits nutrient/toxin access, causing slower repair, shorter cell life, more vulnerability to damage. In summary, the human eye is optimally designed for the function required. The orientation of the retinas improves vision sharpness and the longevity & overall health of the eye. This is a demo of our new thermal plume simulation that we're incorporating into all of Nukit's CFD aerosol modeling. With the current pathogen chamber tests that Nukit obtains from third-party labs, we measure how well Far-UVC removes bioaerosols that are introduced into the chamber through a port in the wall. This is a good measure of overall effectiveness, and all our Far-UVC products are validated in this way and the data provided to the public on our site - (we are, so far, the only company willing to put our money where our mouth is in this way). The only problem with this testing method, is that it does not test one of the main strengths of Far-UVC- the ability to mitigate near-field transmission- the transmission of pathogens that occurs at close range between individuals. This is where computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling comes in. The same powerful software that is used to model the flow of air (a fluid) to make sure an airplane design will fly before it's even been built, can model the air we exhale and how it will respond to Far-UVC with similar accuracy- if it's given enough data to work with. One of the trickier things to calculate with this kind of modeling is the human thermal plume- how the air we exhale rises and then falls as it cools, and how the heat our bodies emit pulls air- and any suspended aerosols, upward. Knowing how the air we exhale moves before it's inevitably inhaled by someone else lets us figure out how much Far-UVC we need to inactivate the pathogens that air contains before it's inhaled, and how that Far-UVC should be arranged. One popular method of implementing Far-UVC is with downlights. The idea is that the vertical cones of light would interrupt the exhalation passing horizontally between individuals. But, if the exhalation is not strictly lateral, if most of it is rising first on a thermal plume, it might miss a few staggered vertical cones of Far-UVC, and having emitters in the corners, pointed slightly horizontally to cover a broad area and more of the upper room, might inactivate pathogens as they rise before they cool and fall- a bit like Upper-Room GUV but lower. The next step will be to model this with a number of “breathing” figures, sitting and standing, and seeing, with the same total Far-UVC wattage, what arrangement of emitters results in the lowest inhalation of exhaled active bioaerosols. My Letter to Aaron Rodgers I'm writing this letter because I've slowly realized how difficult it is to impact change in the world. It requires influential people to see the paradigm shift. Recently you were asked by executive producer Al Dukes about Malaysian Airlines Flight 370. You responded indicating you were familiar with the videos. I understand your skepticism. Those videos aren't what anyone expected. It's frankly too much for most people to accept. The videos represent the largest conspiracy in history, the theft of a Boeing 777 and the suppression of gravitational manipulation. Where this science and technology leads is to Free Energy. I want you to know I'm just a normal guy who saw two videos, investigated them, the missing plane, and discovered we really are hiding 'magical' technology from the world. In a situation this profound you have to start by proving the lie. In this case it's the false narrative we've been sold on by the media of the missing plane. This was not pilot suicide and the United States knows exactly what happened. Planes don't crash without leaving massive debris fields. There was over 1000lbs of foam seat cushions and not one was found. The pilot didn't practice the route, the simulator data flightpath was of MH150 to Jeddah the pilot was scheduled to fly on Feb 4th. The simulator data was ruled not suspicious. The pilot was categorically ruled out by all parties including the officials, family, and friends. Florence De Changy got his medical records from his family and confirmed there were no red flags. Where the plane was lost from radar there was still five radars in range from three different countries, Indonesia, Thailand, and India. None of these countries have ever made their data publicly available. As you pointed out, Rolls Royce and Boeing also know what happened to this plane as Rolls Royce engine data transmits frequent updates. Rolls Royce has never made their data publicly available either. The United States military has a global persistent surveillance system known as SBIRS, the Space-Based Infrared System by Lockheed Martin. There's no possible way this system would not have seen the debris field of a Boeing 777 in the ocean. The military also has a system called SOSUS, the sound surveillance system which is a global network of acoustic detectors that can even pinpoint a tiny submersible implosion. Remember when the Navy heard the Titan sub pop and didn't say anything for five days? There's no evidence the plane crashed in the South Indian Ocean. There's also acoustic detectors in Diego Garcia and Western Australia both of which should have heard the plane crash in the SIO, yet a recent study by Cardiff University found no detections during the duration of the suspected flightpath. One candidate detection was found on one hydrophone almost an hour after the plane would have run out of fuel. Over the Horizon Radar can see for thousands of miles by bouncing signals off the ionosphere. Both Pine Gap and Diego Garcia should have been able to track the plane from take off to crash. The plane also flew directly past Cobra Gold/Cope Tiger military exercises between Thailand and the United States in the Andaman Sea. We're supposed to believe they weren't tracking a rogue plane? Why did the United States give up the search for MH370 after just a month? Ghyslain Wattrelos, French father and husband, was told by an intelligence source that the Americans know what happened and there were two AWACS (radar planes) in the area. As for the debris that was found, I believe that is from MH370. However, there's not enough debris to confirm a plane crashed and the debris washed up on the wrong continent. Drift modeling was done and the bulk of the debris should have washed up in Australia. It's actually impossible based on the currents for the debris to have shown up on mainland Africa in just one year. If you look at a map a much better location for the debris to have entered the water is the Maldives. The only reason we think the plane even went into the South Indian Ocean (SIO) is the Inmarsat satellite pings who has connections to US intelligence. The raw telemetry data was not released until March 27th, 2014, eight days after the satellite video was uploaded on youtube. This is important because there's coordinates in the satellite video that indicate the Nicobar islands, the same location the plane is believed to have turned into the SIO. What really happened to MH370 is an emergency event related to the 487lbs of dangerous lithium ion batteries onboard. This even is supported by at least 20 witnesses and the flightpath. Mike McKay saw the plane on fire briefly for a few seconds from his oil rig, nine witnesses along the coast heard loud noises as the same time, eight fishermen who saw it flying low ten minutes later, a man on the coast who saw it on fire, and Katherine Tee, who saw the plane in the Nicobar Islands an hour later glowing orange, with dark smoke coming out of the back of it, flying low and descending. Why did the Malaysian Minister of Defense say they didn't send up jets to track the plane because they knew it was commercial and not hostile? The only way they could know that is if they had communication with the plane. They simply didn't release all the communications publicly. China intercepted a communication from the US Navy that was only reported in the China Times of the plane disintegrating and attempting an emergency ditching, consistent with Katherine Tee's sighting and the MH370 videos. I spoke with Billie Vincent recently, former security director for the FAA. In 2014 even before the batteries were known to be on the plane he had deduced that a fire emergency event was the most likely scenario. He suspected this because of similar incidents such as UPS Flight 6 where the same thing happened. One pilot was knocked out from the smoke and they couldn't land because they couldn't see. The plane ended up crashing. Dr. Victor Ettel is an expert on the science and manufacturing of lithium ion batteries and he too is on the record theorizing that the battery fire could have knocked out the people on the plane.
