Slate’s last locker room speech 🥹

Man. Truly the end of an era. Slater was the last player I grew up watching as a kid. This hits me in the feels for a number of reasons. Will miss these speeches.

Offseason of 2016 i got up to Gillette to go to the hall. after i came outside, I saw slater walk out from the player entrance and asked for a picture. Even tho we both knew i shouldn’t have been there, I got the most genuine and excited “absolutely!” Thank you 🐐!

Not a dry eye in that room. The respect he garnered from his teammates was unmatched. We need more Mathew Slater’s in this world
