FSD V14.1.7 | Near Accident This is without a doubt the closest I have come to getting into an accident in a long time. I think had I not taken over and slammed on the brakes we would not have slowed down in time. You can see that FSD does an incredible job reacting to the car (even before I noticed it) and was slowing down, but it was not slowing down enough to stop in time. As soon as I saw the car swerving to the right I worried she was going to bounce back into my lane so that is when I decided to go full on the brakes to stop the car. You can see prior to me taking over we were full regen braking (which is FSD reacting well) but it wasn't using any real brakes at all, and ABS was not active until I took over. Let me know what you all think in the comments. I still think FSD is incredible - the reality is if you watch the video the car saw and reacted to the situation before I did, it just didn't brake as agressively as it needed to in this situation. FSD + an attentive driver is without a doubt in my mind still safer than a normal human driver who is not using FSD.

I was able to dream and move forward and i was able to learn to love. Every precious memory you've give us, i dont think I will forget them. 🐯 ive been thinking about what i want to say but my mind goes blank once im up here. so, let me just speak from my heart, thank you so much for coming into my life. 🐯 coming to a concert takes a lot, its not an easy thing to do whether its physically, emotionally, financially, even finding the time is not easy. But you all always show up no matter whether its hot, raining, snowing. And i know the transportation is not easy but you came anyway. So thank you so much for coming to see us. 🐯 there are so many times that we miss carats too, ofc there are concerts and such but there are times where we want to see you and we wonder what to do about it and theres nothing that we can do to fix that longing. 🐯 im sorry if im rambling. I have things i wanted to say but i keep forgetting them. I'll organize my thoughts better and post it on weverse. You want me to keep talking? You know im not good with words. Is the Vision Pro expensive? Yes. Can it be compared to other headsets? Not at all—at least not in general—because it does a lot of things that others simply don’t. Kelsey Hightower, former Google Distinguished Engineer, on the Microsoft offer that revealed a pay tier he didn't know existed: “I got this email from Satya, the CEO of Microsoft. Sunny Hostin attacks South Carolina for Darline Graham being their first female senator, and says there's something "fundamentally wrong" with the state. She suggests doctors can't be senators. She and Joy Behar call the appointment "the very definition of a DEI [hire]" and an example of how "our government is fundamentally broken": SUNNY HOSTIN: I don't love it. I don't love it. You know, she'll be the first woman to be a U.S. senator in South Carolina in his the history of the state. And I think that that's just -- it's just fundamentally wrong that South Carolina just couldn't elect a woman and this is the only way that it was done. I think the experience does matter. And while she is a certified optician and while she has done great work in that field, I don't think that she should be representing the people of South Carolina in the U.S. Senate. I just don't. While learning Unreal Engine 5, I decided to port over most of Hyperion to it to see if I could potentially move my workflows over to UE5. Although it worked decently well, it didn't work well enough to allow me to change over entirely. Hyperion is simply too complex of an asset for real-time workflows (or at least is limited due to my knowledge of said workflows). 131 4K-8K UDIMs at over 8 channels and a solid amount of shaders with layering being the biggest bottleneck. I couldn't even match the shading setup to what I have in RenderMan, UE gave me a warning that the material was too complex. I was using the new Substrate materials, which mimic RenderMan LAMA shaders. The render below is using the pathtracer. As you can see there are some random flickering parts which I couldn't fix during my tests. This render of course doesn't have any displacement either (which Hyperion heavily relies on). I think Unreal Engine has a very bright future, but it is still limited by todays hardware technology for high end VFX work. Maybe in a few years I will give it another try when hardware improves and the engine becomes a bit more versatile in feature-set.

How are we supposed to give into this economy when people can do this and get away with it and not pay for months and trash homes? I would like to know answers from up there at the state capital. And if you guys could smell what this thing is like, I'm furious. And I think science always starts with a number two. It starts with experiments you can repeat, things you can do over and over again. But there's sort of a sense in which every moment in the history of business, every moment in the history of technology happens only once. The next Mark Zuckerberg will not be starting a social networking company. The next Larry Page will not start a search engine. The next Bill Gates will not be starting an operating system. And so if you are trying to copy these people, you're in some sense not learning from them. And so I think one of the really big challenges in teaching or writing about entrepreneurship is what can you say about being an entrepreneur at all when the key thing is always to do something new, different, that's not precisely been done before. And so the point of departure I start with in Zero to One is a somewhat indirect approach by asking a series of contrarian questions. The business question is, what great company is nobody starting? The more intellectual version of this question is, tell me something true that very few people agree with you on. And this is a fantastic interview question. It turns out to be quite a hard question, even when people can read on the internet that you ask of everybody who comes in the door, it still is a hard question. It's one of those unusual questions where if you know it's on the test, it's still hard. And it's hard not just because we sort of think that new things require brilliance or something like that, but because it's socially difficult. If I ask you that question, if you tell me something like the education system is screwed up or our political system doesn't work very well, those are true answers, but they're not actually good answers because all of us already know them to be true. The good answers are ones that are somehow uncomfortable that the person interviewing you does not actually want to hear. And I think we live in this world where courage is in far shorter supply than genius. And so it is sort of this, it is in a sense this problem of political correctness properly understood, is this very deep, very, very broad sort of a problem."

It turns out to be quite a hard question, even when people can read on the internet that you ask of everybody who comes in the door, it still is a hard question. It's one of those unusual questions where if you know it's on the test, it's still hard. And it's hard not just because we sort of think that new things require brilliance or something like that, but because it's socially difficult. If I ask you that question, if you tell me something like the education system is screwed up or our political system doesn't work very well, those are true answers, but they're not actually good answers because all of us already know them to be true. The good answers are ones that are somehow uncomfortable that the person interviewing you does not actually want to hear. And I think we live in this world where courage is in far shorter supply than genius. And so it is sort of this, it is in a sense this problem of political correctness properly understood, is this very deep, very, very broad sort of a problem."

It occurred to me, just sitting down now, Carol, that this is not something you, you sought because you haven't been in any sense reticent in recent years with your political opinions and even with activism, but you've been dragged into this deeply unpleasant situation entirely innocently." JOB, "So unpleasant, in fact, that I'm not sure I can repeat, I'm not sure I'm comfortable saying in front of you the words that Robert Kenyon chose to endorse and defend on, social media." CV, "Well, I am, because it's important that people know. And this is just one comment. He has made multiple comments which are online abuse about me and lots of other people. All they want to do with their fat bellies, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Then there was some, European women. Then he was saying, you know, oh, you wouldn't get me off them with a bazooka." CV, "You know, all this stuff, stuff about abortion. I mean, it's just disgusting stuff. And it's not just one comment, it's a tirade of online abuse. And every woman listening who has had that will know how it makes them feel." CV, "And so I am angry that a political party can take this person on one without obviously vetting him properly. So these are boys colleges taking on women's colleges. And it was like, why wouldn't you? You know, I was from a boys and girls comp, but we had to go through that." You know, I was, I think, when I did engineering, There were about 300 students in our year, four or five of them were girls. I worked underground, me and 2,000 men, all this." CV, "So we have done the hard years over decades, all that. I wanted to be a fighter pilot. You can't, because you're a girl and you don't have the appendage that's required. You know, all of this nonsense that we had to put up with. So, for me, that this Reform Party is saying on day one, they would repeal the Equality act." CV, "And we all know what that means. So, you know, the protections against harassment of women in the workplace, the, equal pay, maternity leave, maternity pay, all of those. We're going to scrap all those. JOB, "But when James McMurdoch Ended up in Parliament just after the last election, and, it quickly emerged that he'd been jailed for attacking a former girlfriend." CV, "Yes. And here is another example, a very serious example of, to me, reforms, excuses for things. So I think it was a Times newspaper fact he only got in with a majority of 98." CV, "So imagine if this information had been available beforehand about him. So, shortly after he was elected in 2024 as a Reform MP, I think it was a Times newspaper, found that he had been convicted and served time for, assaulting his girlfriend." CV, "He then said in his defense, oh, it was a push. Then the official court documents show that she was on the floor. He was kicking her multiple times while she was on the floor and had to be, dragged away by two security guards." CV, "Very different stories. Richard Tice then defends it, saying, oh, well, he's served his time. That was a long time ago. It doesn't matter. I am sorry. It matters. It matters to women. You know, it's constant, it's consistent." JOB, "So they're not, they're not up to the job. They're only there to tick a box. And then declaring and From a political point of view, this is interesting actually stating I'm sexist. Sorry, but I am." CV, "Yeah." JOB, "And then the defense from reform UK becomes. These comments were made before he entered politics. He's perfectly entitled to his own personal opinions." CV, "That was three weeks ago." JOB, "Yeah, yeah. It's extraordinary that he can state that because Murdoch didn't get dropped by the party for the conviction for battering his ex, he got dropped after it emerged that he'd taken Covid loans out under the COVID support scheme. Dear Amy, There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. I love you more than words could ever say, and I’ve missed having you in my life in ways that are impossible to fully describe. I often wonder how different my life would be if you were still here with us, and I think about all the amazing things you would have done with your life. I miss your laugh, your smile, and the joy you brought into every room you walked into. Most of all, I miss the simple moments—like playing basketball in the driveway—when it was just you and me, laughing and competing like siblings do. I want you to know that everything I’ve done in my life has been with you in mind. Every decision I’ve made has been guided by what would make you most proud of me. I’ve lived my life trying to honor you, and I hope you know how deeply you are loved—not only by me, but by so many others who were touched by your light, your kindness, and your strength. Your presence is still felt by everyone who was lucky enough to know you. If you are out there and are somehow able to see this, please find a way to reach out, or give us a sign that you’re still with us. You don’t have to explain anything. Woke up today on the 12th of this month and I figured it’s time to move on from Superman! Im no super human… I cry ! I struggle! I feel like everyone else. Through the lies, the media and the hate I still show love and Smile Through The Storm. But now Im taking off the cape and retiring from all basketball to pour into my family and give back to communities worldwide. I know some of you might think I thought he already “retired” but I didn’t… the game retired me! I still had more left to give ! Yeah I did play professionally for 20 years and Im grateful to be able to say that but I can’t lie seeing these other players still going at it at age 40 inspired me to want to keep trying but now I believe my duty will be to pass it down to the next generation . So Thank you to all my fans and supporters throughout this journey I love and appreciate yall dearly because without yall it would be no me! Also thank you to the Naysayers, the haters, the snakes, and people that came into my life to try to destroy me. Because everytime yall did …it only made me stronger. When my documentary releases this year the world will know the truth about EVERYTHING! Then you will see how the sheltered little boy from college park Georgia who went to the same school from pre-k to 12th grade then straight to the NBA was taken advantage of by the world.
