Coulrophobia was nerfed as a response to high mmr killers refusing to engage in the hooking gameplay loop. I have done this often on killer, and fully acknowledged that it shouldn't be encouraged as a play style. If you can't see how full hard slugging is bad for the game's health, you have us vs them brainrot. But now that slugging perks are being nerfed, we are left in a position where we have to ask - are they going to do anything about the circumstances that are leading killers to slug?

The strongest anti-tunneling perk is not DS, not even shoulder the burden. It's Babysitter. Nothing forces a killer to stop tunneling like a survivor running faster than him with no scratch marks. You leave the hook for a nanosecond and this perk ends your entire game against a good team. It should really be either stealth or speed, not both.

Iridescent Seal is a corny add on that punishes survivors simply for playing the game normally, similarly to broken survivor perks like Shoulder the Burden or Conviction. This effect is pretty outdated and could be a lot more fun for both sides.

Blood Favor is one of the worst designed killer perks, with how it forces survivors to play in one specific way and can kill you instantly depending on the map and where it hits you. Randomness, restricting chase mindgames, making the chase of already strong killers downright stupid... it's a wonder this perk hasn't been targeted yet. The only silver lining is that most good killer players are honorable to pretend like it doesn't exist!

Gen slowdown is the standard that DBD is built around, and should always be the default killer build. It's the most skillful way to play killer, and builds which have 3+ non gen slowdown perks tend to be some of the most boring to face. Aura reading and chase perks are like temporary steroids for missing game sense and chase skills, creating uninteractive and boring situations when stacked (endfury, dissolution, nowhere to hide, etc)

My final thoughts on the Trickster gameplay update ("rework") - Too similar to the old Trickster to increase his popularity outside of people buying MiNA - 4.4 feels legitimately awful against veteran survivors with good pathing - 6 blades to injure feels good. The snappy feeling of pulling up blades to only fire 2 or 3 feels really good and precise. I might be playing a lot more Trickster, but I highly doubt the average killer player will. It feels like they have placed artificial restraints on the strength of an already weak killer.

Kind of insane that the first is like 100% harmless against strong survivors but can just do this against more... "unaware" players I guess his stats show a lot more of these games than the opposite, and that's why they are nerfing him

Shoulder The Burden is still by far the biggest problem in DBD specifically at high mmr. I see this perk at least once every 4 or 5 games, and it is game warping every time even if it's not used perfectly. This perk is so stupid in the hands of coordinated, strong teams that old school Bubba facecamping is now an optimal strategy to win tough matches against good players. Total insanity.

Nowhere to Hide is the clearest example of a crutch perk on the killer side. Survivors have run to yellow, killers have point and click aura adventure. Stealth is such an important intangible part of this game. Nowhere to hide existing in a trial removes that and forces everyone to hold W forever. Holding W is boring, in my opinion! I think this perk's range should be reduced, and it should stop working when a killer movement ability is used.
