Small changes make life better for everyone! For about 6 monthd the utility company left a gaping hole in the middle of this footpath after some repairs. It took me a bit of wrangling over bureaucracy - but it's finally fixed!

When things like this are portrayed as a "win" it shows how broken the local authority is. This sort of thing should be happening as a matter of course, it shouldn't be something that has to be fought for. You're only tacking the symptom, not the cause.

There should be a deposit payment made by every company wanting to dig up footpaths, roads ect. If they don’t reinstate it to correct standards then the local authorities should use the deposit to make good footpaths and roads. Time limits & deposits will end the merry go round
