In an office move our furniture was tagged with small number stickers; I added huge stickers with my name. A cabinet got lost, so I told the guy it will be easy to find because it has one of my big name stickers. "Oh," he said, "we took those off ... because we didn't need them."

Before I became strictly a cabinetmaker, I was in architecture and CM. Right before drywall I would walk the building with my digital camera and take a photo of every wall from directly in front. I would put all those in a file for the owner.

When I installed my own cabinets, I would have appreciated it if the framers had marked the location of all studs and backing.

Mark Zuckerberg on why he prefers to recruit people directly out of college In this interview from 2005, a 21-year-old Mark Zuckerberg is asked what he looks for in a new hire. There’s two things, he says. “Number one is raw intelligence. You can hire someone who has been doing software engineering for 10 years, and if they’ve been doing it for 10 years, that’s probably what they’ll be doing for the rest of their life. That’s cool — there are some things that that person can do and they’re definitely useful in an organization and can do a lot of stuff. But if you find someone whose raw intelligence exceeds theirs but has 10 years less experience, they can probably adapt and learn way quicker. Within a very short amount of time they’ll be able to do a lot of things that [the person with 10 years of experience] will never be able to do. So that’s the most important thing that I look for.” The second thing he looks for is alignment with what the company is trying to do: “People can be really smart or have skills that are directly applicable, but if they don’t really believe in it, then they’re not going to work hard or care enough to develop the relevant experience in order to succeed. The best people I’ve hired so far have been people who didn’t really have that much engineering experience. I hired a couple of electric engineers out of Stanford to do programming stuff, and they had very little programming experience going in, but they were really smart and really willing to go at it. The guy who just wrote photos was one of those guys, and if you’re willing to just do whatever it takes to get photos out, then you’re probably more valuable than someone who is just a career software engineer.” He concludes: “Those are the things I’m looking for and why I would rather recruit people out of college.” Video source: Stanford eCorner (2005)

.John Roberts: “Why is Michael Wolff counseling Jeffrey Epstein on how to hang Donald Trump out to dry?” Mollie: “Yeah. That’s what I thought was so interesting in these emails there were many journalists who were coaching Jeffrey Epstein in how to handle things which is a weird thing to see anybody doing, much less a journalist. But back to the original point, like, that this is even a story today is something of a scandal, meaning Democrats — they went out of their way to obstruct the name of the individual in question, to make it seem like Donald Trump might have some secret here that needs to be exposed. And the reason why they obstructed the name is because Virginia Giuffre, the victim of Epstein, has had publicly and repeatedly said that Donald Trump had never witnessed or participated in any bad activity. So, this is just hard to take people seriously that they care about this. There are multiple people that have relationships with Epstein. Reid Hoffman, a Democrat super donor a very lengthy and sustained and intimate relationship with Jeffrey Epstein it would be interesting to learn more about that. Bill Clinton the former president of the United States had a relationship. We even had — Barack had a relationship. These are interesting things. But, when you make it just about Donald Trump, when we already know about it, and we already know that they had a falling out because of how Epstein was handling the situation at Mar-a-Lago, that he got kicked out, is just — I agree there is, like, stuff to know, but it’s not being handled in any way responsibly here.”

#WATCH | Yavatmal: On IIT-Bombay student suicide, aunt of deceased Sahil Ravindra Wakode says, "That evening, we received a call from the professor at 8:00 PM informing us that Sahil had committed suicide. We simply could not believe it; we wondered if someone was playing a prank on us. That is what we were thinking. We rushed there that very night. When we reached IIT, no professor or director came to meet us; no one spoke to us. Why did that happen? What happened? No one told us anything. But after so much time had passed, that professor apologized and admitted that Sahil had not done anything wrong. Yet, why did this happen to him? I appeal to you all: my Sahil deserves justice. If he had not done anything wrong, why did this happen to him? No inquiry has ever been set up regarding it; nothing has been done. Yet, when we raised this issue, we faced pressure ourselves. People ask why we invoked the Atrocity Act. The reason is that the students who have committed suicide so far have all belonged to SC or ST communities—not other castes. Why is injustice constantly being inflicted upon our children? Aren't our children the future of this country? All children are the country's future. They should all be treated equally, but that is not happening. Our child is innocent; he did not do anything. There needs to be a thorough inquiry into this matter, and action must be taken against everyone responsible for this case. Even after three days, we still know nothing. We have no information regarding the CCTV footage or what exactly happened to him. If it was a suicide, we have no details about it. We have not received his mobile phone or his laptop. None of these things have been shown to us so far."
