In order to be put on AISH, everyone's already been assessed. By kicking those of us who need it off of it, this going to lead to more homelessness and will cost our province's healthcare system much more in the long term. Able-bodied people can't even find work in this province!

My brother went from pipefitter in FtMac to brain injury and AISH. His choice would be to have his old body and ‘work’ if he could - no question. I always told him his new job was ‘teacher’. I loved both versions of him so much. I’m uncomfortably grateful he’s not here for this.

If there are gaps in AISH, fix them. But replacing it with a brand new program instead of making targeted improvements feels like unnecessary risk. When people depend on this system, stability and predictability should come first.
