To ensure smooth traffic flow and safety, the Joint CP personally conducted field inspections at major waterlogging points, including Lakdikapul, Ayodhya Junction, and PTI Masab Tank. During the inspection, Sri Joel Davis, IPS, reviewed the water drainage arrangements and traffic regulation measures on the ground. As rainwater accumulation has slowed down vehicle movement in several parts of the city, traffic personnel are actively deployed on the roads to manage traffic flow. Dear DCP Traffic Gurugram Gurugram Traffic Police 1. Wrong-side driving is a common occurance in our city ... attached a few videos taken today at 6pm Xavier’s School intersection, GCER 2. large number of two-wheelers are also using the pavement/footpath to bypass the long signal, putting : a)pedestrians at risk and b)causing further damage and breakage to the pavers, which are already in a state of disrepair. This issue has been brought to the authorities notice several times. 3. Incidentally, a police checkpost/booth is barely 50–100 metres from this intersection, where traffic violations are regularly monitored. While signal jumping may occasionally be challaned, there appears to be little or no enforcement against wrong-side driving, wrong-side overtaking, and two-wheelers using the footpath to bypass the signal. 4.Please check the CCTV footage from this intersection around 6:00 PM and take appropriate action. This is not only a traffic violation but also a serious pedestrian safety concern and is contributing to damage of public infrastructure. 5. Please also instruct e-commerce and delivery platforms to ensure their riders are properly briefed and held accountable for following traffic rules, particularly regarding wrong-side driving, wrong-side overtaking and using pavements/footpaths to bypass signals. Shocking inefficiency by GMDA 🆘️ The Bajghera Underpass on #DwarkaExpressway flooded because water from Old Bajghera Rail Over Bridge & Palam Vihar was routed into #NHAI's Dwarka Expressway Underpass instead of the main BIG drain along the surface road. Is it done purposefully? DC Gurugram DIPRO Gurugram MCG GMDA are NOT PERMORMING as per expectations of the Gurgaon residents. #WATCH | Gurugram's Iffco Chowk, one of the city's busiest intersections, witnessed heavy traffic disruption on Tuesday afternoon after a large sinkhole opened up on the service road following the collapse of a master sewer line. The sinkhole, measuring roughly 10 feet by 10 feet, appeared around 3 pm on a stretch near Westin Hotel on the Delhi-Jaipur side. It came a day after heavy rain had left several parts of Gurugram waterlogged. Traffic police moved in to barricade the affected stretch and diverted vehicles to alternative routes while repair crews were rushed to the spot, according to a report. Visuals from the spot showed the extent of the cave-in, with barricades put up around the crater as commuters navigated the diversion.
