oh it's much worse than the examples you just showed. i play on a shitty laptop and ngl, i see people thru smokes a little too frequently and i mean like whole body figures or major parts of their bodies poking out.

I made a comment on why this happens. Smokes are not rendered at full res and only sample from the depth buffer once to determine if the smoke is even visible. If you have a gap like this it might not render because it takes one of the closer samples.

Memories. I think this exist since CS 1.6, obviously not the same glitch but is very similar.

yeah the first one you don't even need to downscale just low-ish values on some settings. 2nd one you can force basically on every smoke that you're not actually inside of if you're heavily downscaled
