I totally believe in this…. My problem is: what if we don’t know enough to see what it is he brought you? With our limited view we could look right past the gift…🤯 You could have put that bag of limes down and would never had known, you had the giver to help you open your eyes!

You get what you ask for, but you don’t get to choose the form it comes in.

If there is a man in this woman's life he needs to thank the Lord for her every day.

When my husband and I bought our home, my Mom planted a citrus tree. It started bearing fruit pretty quickly in its thin branches. She comes over to harvest from our fruit trees planted over the years regularly. Every time she’d pick from that very first citrus tree, “These are so good!” My usual reply of “yeah Mom”. Last year doing our usual fruit and herbs picking before she leaves, she makes her comment when we get to, what we call My Moms tree but this time I respond with “you know Mami, you’re the only one that eats these. They’re just too big so I use the limes from that tree (pointing to our lime tree)”. Her face said it all. I messed up and no clue how. She says my name. (Please note: I’m grown, I haven’t heard her say my name like that in decades.) “These are oranges”. “No Mami our orange tree is over there. Doesn’t really do good.” She again says my name and repeats herself. My response “I don’t know what they are. They’re like grapefruits. I don’t know.” (Seriously, the things are the size of a grapefruit.) She again says my name and repeats herself as she rips one open. Oh Lord.
