Thanks Lee, some say they aren’t real and others complain they are real but not reality - It’s hard to win, and not betting just at Royal Ascot!

As a younger person when I was first getting into the sport the first thing I do would be to look in the back of the Racing Post at the results to see who had the biggest bets… particularly if I’ve got one wrong I love it

Well said Simon. People forget that in the London financial world vast amounts are gambled on derivatives etc. every day. Also it is turnover and over time you only win or lose at the margins. Your ledgers need to be reviewed on your deathbed to be truly meaningful😝

I absolutely love reading your blogs Simon. I miss the capturing of big bets in the RP,becos to me seeing what bets were struck adds interest to the game. If someone wants a £5 on great,nothing wrong with a £5 or 5k,it’s about choice.On course you have exactly that.Good luck 👍
