The corporation probably paid the guy's $82,000 salary. Should the money be taxed how many times? The corporation could pay the taxes and reduce his salary a commensurate amount. How would that fly?

My question is...who does that guy work for? That large corporation probably employed that guy. Giving him a job!!! If that corp was taxed on the 6 billion dollars there would be NO corporation to hire people and no job for that guy. People forget that businesses HIRE PEOPLE. He was able to feed his family because of a corporation. Does he want to take on ALL the costs of starting his own company? All the payroll tax, matching CPP (if in Canada) Unemployement insurance portions. You see the corporation has to pay a lot of the expenses that the individual doesn't. AND THEY GIVE PEOPLE JOBS. You can't punish this kind of prosperity because the little guy will hurt too. Just look at our pathetic liberal government taxing corporations and individuals regular tax. carbon tax, gst tax, provincial tax. And then the moron refuses trade deals that harm corporations and individuals. No wonder these corps move to the states. And guess what, So did the jobs. Yes everything has gone up for you and me BUT ALSO for the corporations. So do you still think punishing big corporations is wise?

That $150million is called EBITDA. EBITDA stands for Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization, and it is a measure of a company's profitability from its core operations, excluding non-operational expenses. It helps assess how efficiently a business generates revenue without the effects of financing and accounting decisions.

Yes sir. The gov. drafts a budget. Then they raise it 5%, lower it to 3% after debate. Then they claim they “cut the budget by 2%” when the net increased is 3%.

What a company "spends" is overhead on its business functions. What a person spends is not on his or her business, mostly. If you do spend some of your money on your business (office supplies, customer lunches, etc), then that gets subtracted from your taxable income. Should that change? I am with Trump: income should not be taxable. So I hope they change that some day.

another economic idiot: corporation don't pay taxes... Corporate tax is always passed through: lower after-tax returns to shareholders, lower wages for workers, and/or higher prices for consumers.

Did you employ a hundred people while you got your 82k? A company with 6 billion in sales is definitely paying employees to generate that revenue. You’re missing the taxes they are already paying in tax on purchasing shipping etc etc . Risk and reward are motivating factors.

This why you shouldn't waste working for time and a pay cheque, put up the risk, funds, and liabilities and you too can write off your expenses.

In effect we are all just corporations (all caps name IS a corporation). Told my daughter years ago that taxation would be much more fair if I could deduct everything I spend to keep this little corporation running. Groceries, hydro, medical, telephone, etc.

In order for a business to make money, it first has to spend a lot of money. In order for you to make money working a job, you just have to go to work. If we levied taxes on all business income, running a business wouldn't be possible.

Wait until you turn 73 and have to take a mandatory distribution from your IRA so it can be taxed? But no other age group is subject to this distribution?
