This was poorly handled by the school from the start. You tell her where to go You tell her why she is going You tell her per school and county rules phone calls in disciplinary situations are handled from the office, and then you walk her there. Resistance leads to resource officer involvement and physical resistance at that point leads to arrest. Instead this pointless confrontation lasted much longer than it needed to and turned into a possibly avoidable arrest. Her behavior was atrocious and she may have been arrested regardless but this was an extremely clumsy and lengthy process with no discernible skills in deescalation or handling a challenging and distrustful student.
