That was selfish and defensive of you. She was honest with you and you ignored her. That she didn’t say it YOUR way is kinda illuminating.

I agree but I also think there is probably more about that first girl he was already annoyed or moving away from so this was just one more irritant and reason to not want to be with her and blame her. I guarantee if this was his dream girl, it wouldn’t have mattered how she said it, he would have wanted to please her and shaved three times a day to make her happy regardless. The other girl who he claims said it right, merely made him feel validated to put the fault on the first girl. This seems more like a him problem imo.

This also goes both ways... and you have to put in effort to not be a defensive reactionary person aswell. Everyone has room for growth in every relationship, every single day.
