So yeah that total solar eclipse was once again the coolest thing I've ever seen. This time we managed to shoot an entire video and podcast episode DURING the totality. That's coming soon! In the meantime, enjoy this drone clip from above Zaragoza, Spain. 8x speed

It was not a total eclipse over here but I've managed to capture it. Sadly I don't have anything longer than a 135mm on hand. But hey, that's something.

So sick! We also have a 500mm and solar filter pointed at the sun for this video

@Tomsfia Great shots Tomas! I caught something similar on a 500mm in VT a few years ago. Were you able to get some image stacks with variable exposure? You can composite those with a little bit of post processing for a stunning image of the corona

@MKBHD - and by cropping on the phone I haven't properly seen the pics yet in PC ahah, just imported with the canon app. Also the solar filter was a 3d printed hood with a cool certified film. A learning curve! I bought the 100-400 last week!

Proves that SUN has the highest leverage over earth. If there is one true god that really affects and controls things on earth, it is undoubtedly the SUN.

Nothing like seeing one in real life. It’s like seeing the grand mechanics of the universe not usually seen. Super cool.

We were in Texas for the last one and it was wild. Felt like someone switched off the sky. All the insects and birds went silent too.

Quick question, is filming this not damaging the sensors of the cameras?

The Spanish Eclipse: A Masterclass in the Heavens and the Heart! I decided to follow the total eclipse over Spain and the partial eclipse in other European countries last night from Nigeria until early this morning. This is because I have had an interest in astronomy for over two decades. This eclipse offered a profound masterclass in celestial mechanics and orbital predictability. The maximum duration of totality in Spain during this event was 2 minutes and 18 seconds. The total solar eclipse was a historic celestial event, marking the first total solar eclipse visible from mainland Europe since 1999, around 27 years ago. It was also the first total eclipse to sweep across Spain since 1905, around 121 years ago. Other parts of Europe also experienced only a partial eclipse. From a scientific perspective, this rare event underscores the divine mathematical precision governing our solar system. The exact alignment of the Sun, Moon, and Earth allows researchers to study the solar corona, test gravitational theories, and gather critical data on atmospheric changes. It serves as a stark reminder that even the grandest cosmic phenomena operate under consistent, observable laws of physics that humanity can calculate decades in advance. Interestingly, this celestial alignment invites deep religious and spiritual contemplation across diverse faiths. In many theological traditions, the temporary blotting out of the sun represents a moment of awe, humility, and divine majesty, reminding humanity of its small place within creation. Furthermore, Islamic tradition features the special Khusuf prayer during solar eclipses to acknowledge Allah's signs. Other faiths likewise view the return of light as a powerful symbol of spiritual renewal and the triumph of truth over darkness. The event bridges the gap between the physical and the metaphysical, prompting us to look upward in reverence. Ultimately, the eclipse over Spain harmonises science and faith (iman) by highlighting a shared human quest for meaning and order. While science explains the mechanics of the shadow moving across the Iberian Peninsula, religion interprets the profound emotional and existential impact of that darkness. Together, these perspectives show that an eclipse is not merely an optical coincidence, but a unifying global moment. It challenges us to expand our knowledge of the universe while deepening our appreciation for the mysteries that lie beyond empirical measurement. A once in a lifetime solar eclipse is gonna plunge certain parts of America into total darkness during the middle of the day. The shocking part is this eclipse is gonna be passing through eight towns called Nineveh, which is the city recorded in the Bible, where the prophet Jonah warned them about the wrath of God to come. This will also be taking place under the constellation cist, which means the whale. As many of you know, the prophet Jonah was swallowed by a whale before being spit onto the shore to go preach repentance to Nineveh. Jesus says in Matthew 16, four, A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. Ancient history also shows that right before Nineveh repented in the Bible story of Jonah, there was a total solar eclipse called the bursal eclipse, which was one of the astronomical phenomenas that caused an entire pagan city to repent from their pagan practices and turn back to the true God Yahweh. This solar eclipse was also engraved in ancient Assyrian archeological findings, further verifying that an astronomical event took place. During this time, America has abandoned God and fully embraced perverse secular values, and this eclipse very well may be a sign from the heavens that the doors for repentance are closing.
