Today I was disqualified for the first time in my cycling career (14 years), for wearing glasses that record video. Unfortunately I was not aware of a new rule that was implemented in April that prohibited this. A warning, fine or yellow card could have also been enough. But what I struggle to understand is why In the Tour de France can you quite literally vlog with a camera in your hand which is perfectly legal...but because the camera is in the glasses you get an automatic Disqualification?! Yes, If I knew about the rule I would have also never posted it on social media. Anyways, I'll take it on the chin. Here is the video that got me disqualified & the other video is just to show what is completely allowed it seems. And lastly, my glasses have absolutely no AI capabilities unless used with a phone. So on the bike it can do nothing but record video!

I’ve used all the recent GenAI video models extensively & here’s my 2¢: 🎬 Runway Gen3 Alpha - best image quality & motion for text-to-video & embedded words. Great at prompt travel changes over the course of 10 sec. And I’m super bullish on how gen3 will evolve, hopefully adopting the features listed below. Kling - best quality for image-to-video with prompt control, like eating food. Great clip extension that accounts for character (ie walking stride) & camera movement (speed & angle), rather than just using final frame. But it’s limited availability & Chinese native language is limiting. Used for Spider-Man video below (via Midjourney). LumaLabs - best for keyframe start & end control (it can not be overstated how important this is. other services should add it ASAP!) and their high dynamic action movements are really fun. Luma was used in my viral Multiverse of Memes video. PikaLabs - they haven’t gotten as much attention as others lately. But they did update their video model a few weeks ago and it looks great. Also, they are notable for their unique & AWESOME features, like video in-painting & out-painting. My perfect AI video platform would have the following features: 1) Gen3’s quality, prompt control & text embedding. 2) KLing’s image-to-video quality, prompt control & clip extension quality. 3) Luma’s multi-keyframe control & dynamic movement ability. 4) Pika’s inpainting & outpainting ability. Save this for the next time your typography feels weird and you can’t explain why. Nine times out of ten, it’s line-height - the vertical space between lines of text that decides whether type feels confident or clumsy, readable or tiring. Headlines Compress them. ~1.05–1.25 is usually right. Headlines aren’t meant to be read carefully line by line. They’re meant to land as a shape. Tighter leading pulls words into a single visual block and makes the headline feel confident and intentional. One hard rule: ascenders and descenders should never touch. If your t’s and l’s are colliding with g’s and y’s, you’ve gone too far. Body text Do the opposite. Give it air. ~1.4–1.7, depending on the typeface, its x-height, and the line length. Body text is about endurance. Your reader shouldn’t notice the typography at all. If they’re aware of the type, something’s off. The goal is that they just keep going, paragraph after paragraph, without friction. In Framer, you can find the Line-height settings in the Text Panel > Line. And yes, this applies even if you’re using the same font for headlines and body text! Same font, same page, but they have completely different jobs - and different line height. Sometimes, choosing a good type isn’t enough - you need to know how much space to give letters so they can do their work.
