In this video, you can see that Snake gets detected behind a wall because he’s partially exposed instead of fully leaning against it. This means you’ll have to be more careful with your positioning. Some have suggested that this behavior is typical for hard or extreme difficulty. However, the TGS demo only featured easy and normal difficulties, based on other videos we've seen. Counter CQC Moves Then, we get a glimpse of Snake using counter CQC moves. This great addition gives players more options in close combat situations. In MGS3, you could counter CQC against The Boss by pressing O at a specific time but this was unique to that fight. Now it seems you can make similar moves while throwing them to the ground. I really hope they introduce different variations of counter-CQC moves. There’s so much potential for exciting changes in this area, and I’m sure they could come up with some good options. Bullet Drop Mechanics Lastly, it’s a bit hard to catch in the video and I have seen this more obvious in other videos, but Delta now features bullet drop. This means you’ll need to think about how gravity affects your shots when firing from a distance, which adds another layer of realism to the gameplay. Overall, I think these are welcomed changes that are making the game feel more immersive and challenging! I'm looking forward to seeing what else the team has in store for us.

I tried jack's Buzz. It's like Slack + OpenClaw + Herdr + but with some really unique features that people are sleeping on. The video below shows how it works, and some of my thoughts on the process and platform, e.g.: - Create and interact with agents on top of any harness (claude code, codex, pi, etc.) - Choose which models agents use, including local ones - Agents can delegate work and work in parallel in git worktrees - Agents are first-class citizens and work like humans (creating channels, delegating, access to chat history) - You can share AI compute within a community - It's completely open-source and decentralized Things I like: - Delegating work in chat feels natural: tag an agent, it replies in a thread with status updates as it e.g. compiles, commits, and deploys. - Shared compute: relay owners can share local compute with members, so a community could pool funds for one beefy machine running a local model and everyone uses it. - It's built on Nostr, an open protocol already tied into Bitcoin Lightning so I can imagine communities tipping each other or paying for compute/agent tasks with instant zero-fee micropayments in the future. - It ties together things like OpenClaw, an agent manager, and Slack-style chat into one tool. Things I didn't like: - You can't see what the agent is doing in a terminal. The activity view exists, but if you're used to watching a session run, this UI feels a bit abstracted. A terminal view would be great. - It feels slower than running a session in Claude Code, though no evidence to back that up. For that reason I found myself doing one-off tasks in the terminal instead. Verdict: - I really like it so far and can genuinely imagine working with a team this way. - It doesn't feel ready for big, complex tasks yet. For shallower tasks, it's perfect. - The shared compute + Nostr/Lightning angle is what really separates it from every other agent manager for me, and I think that future is coming.

✨New demo: what if vibe coding felt more visual? Brian Lovin Mary Rose Cook and I did a game jam using Notion as our "IDE": launching Cursor agents from a task board, and making a custom image for each task 😎 The demo shows 3 ideas for the future of agents: 1) Agents should collaborate across apps. Each app has its focus--Notion AI is good at drafting specs and organizing tasks; Cursor is good at coding. So let them specialize! Today we're launching a new integration where Notion AI can kick off Cursor Cloud Agents to do coding tasks. The Cursor API accepts natural language prompts, so I think of this as "cross-app sub-agents" -- it's kinda cute how it resembles humans hiring outside contractors 😊 BTW: the parallelism of cloud agents is incredibly freeing for creativity, but it also creates a new problem: sooo much work to keep track of! Which brings us to the next idea... 2) Agent orchestration is a data visualization problem. A powerful frame for designing agent UIs is to think of the chat transcripts as the "raw data" and ask: what visual projections might help people make sense of this data at scale? We need to engage our human GPUs -- our visual processing -- to understand what the computer GPUs are doing for us! One thing we can do is use AI to populate traditional UIs like progress bars and status updates. But there are also new possibilities now... For example: when you have a lot going on, it can be hard to identify tasks just by text titles. So we tried generating an AI image for each task -- turns out this helps a lot by giving it a unique visual identity! And of course, it also just makes it super fun to build with friends 😃 Speaking of friends... 3) The future of coding is collaborative. Sometimes it feels like IC engineers are being reduced to middle managers: shuffling information between the team's context and the coding agents that they individually manage. The solution: bring all the people and agents into one shared space, with shared context and visibility! In the video you can get a glimpse of how this feels. Mary, Brian and I record ourselves chatting about ideas, and then we use AI to turn that conversation into a list of tasks on a shared board. As the ideas get built in parallel, we can all monitor progress and review the work together, nothing is siloed. My main takeaway from this game jam was: damn, creativity with friends, at the speed of conversation, is incredibly fun. --- Our goal here is to let anyone use Notion as a fun and creative "software factory" to build software together with your team. Read below for more important details & updates: The first variations of #CybercoreX will drop in about 8 hours. As mentioned in the article when we first started releasing skins, after #E2V1 officially launches we will be cutting back on #LimitedEdition skins & will predominantly focus on unlimited skins. In some cases these future unlimited skins will not be available for resale. This was always the plan as these early #LimitedEdition skins were released especially for early supporters. We will still release #LimitedEditions from time to time, but if & when we do so it will be at higher prices - which has also been mentioned numerous times in the past but I am just providing this as a reminder. I think we have 2-3 Limited Edition skins remaining before we transition into the standard skin system with unlimited skins & periodic availability - so there are not many left and these final Limited Edition drops will contain a few more rarer variations. #CybercoreX took a lot of additional work & team members strongly suggested the skin should be sold at a premium price, however I decided to keep the pricing in line with the other pre-#E2V1 Limited Edition releases. I just want to be clear that this NOT the avatar spawn system you have seen in demo videos to date where we just randomly spawn an avatar anywhere, that is simple & we could easily release that specific feature but it was only for demo purposes to showcase avatars can spawn anywhere in the world. To be transparent, what we are working to release now is the actual avatar spawn system intended for long term use where Players need to synthesise their #avatar from their #Mentar on their property to begin its actual life inside #E2V1. It's important to point out this involves numerous API integration, UI/UX updates and is not a simple random spawn. We anticipate there will almost surely be a number of potential bugs with this release so the plan is to first have it released to testers (WITH BUGS EXPECTED!) then stabilise & prepare for the public #E2V1 release. If you see people publishing footage of bugs online, remember we are in pre-alpha which we released to testers less than a month ago & testers are there to help us test and find issues we need to resolve. > reflecting about Starknet (BTCFi arc) 🥷 outpost starknet outpost is hands down imo one of the best thing we’ve ever done, in terms of projects, in terms of the quality of founders , devs, vibes. the whole residency program felt less off like a program but more like a home but with a catch, “a home with insanely cracked devs and founders”. it’s been one hell of a crazy ride at the outpost, and I’m just too saddened that it’s coming to an end right now, well of course all good things comes to an end.. this straight up felt like a whole fucking movie with action scenes, emotional scenes and finally the movie ended with a really high note. none of this outpost would have been possible without all these devs who showed utmost trust and those who shared the same vision as us which was “playing the long term game”. there were quite a lot of ups and even greater downs but at the end what matters is, it all turned up right and the best. there were a lot of instances where these devs could have just straight up said dude “fuck off im done” with all the things that happened, but they choose to stay and it was all because of the way they chose to back their friends each other. im just soooo bullish on all of the founders, devs and team that took part in our outpost literally sat alongside everyone spent countless nights along with the devs leaving out all my personal time (my gf was pissed ofcz) all because of one reason, all these founders were soo fucking bullish on their products and wanted to go big and weren’t here for grant farming. and yesterday after three intense months, we’ve arrived just to that moment. the demo day. a day where all the late nights, the pivots, the breakthroughs, and pure perseverance came together. also none of this would have been possible without my friends on ground (Akshat ,mandar.hl | fluxava , Sahil More ,Uddalak (lending and looping arc) , prathik.ai 🚀 ) huge gg well guys we’ve come to an end of the pune outpost. and wanted to put this heartfelt note along with a video that just shows how close to our heart this. btw we played this video yday during the demo day, i got pretty emotional and couldn’t even do my talk properly cuz that’s the depth of how close these mfrs were. bullish on friends that I made here. Each of the 100 single-story three-to-four-bedroom homes in the Wolf Ranch community of Georgetown, northern Austin, costs between $450,000 to $600,000. Here is a summary of the major updates: 1. Legal research Case law hallucinations are a massive problem. To address this, Mike's assistant can now produce grounded citations backed by case law from CourtListener. The integration is tight and highly intuitive. Every answer includes links to cited cases, along with supporting quotations from judicial opinions to substantiate each proposition made by the AI. The assistant also researches cases in much the same way a lawyer would. It retrieves potentially relevant authorities, verifies the accuracy of citations, and searches for keywords that align with the research topic. Support for additional jurisdictions will be added soon. 2. Improved user interface (UI) The UI has been redesigned around Apple's Liquid Glass design principles, giving the application a cleaner and more minimalist feel down to every modal and button. Mike is designed to be a place of calm where lawyers can focus amidst the chaos of legal practice. 3. Version control Lawyers are familiar with saving documents as new versions in document management systems such as iManage and NetDocuments. Mike now brings this workflow into projects by allowing users to save new versions on top of existing documents with a simple drag-and-drop action. This introduces order and clarity to matters where redlines and document versions can quickly become confusing, especially when there are five different files named "Final Execution Version." 4. Data control Users can now export their data and permanently delete their data directly from the Settings page. 5. Security Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now available. Users can enable MFA to protect sensitive actions within Mike, such as data deletion, and can also optionally require MFA during login. There have also been numerous backend security improvements since the previous release. 6. MCP connectors This was one of the most requested features. Users can now add MCP connectors directly from Settings. All tokens and secrets are encrypted at rest. In the demo video, I showcase the Neimo MCP from k-ID, a global age verification and compliance platform. Mike can also be connected to other MCP servers, including email systems. The setup process is currently somewhat manual, but one-click authentication and onboarding will be added in a future release. Mike now has a strong open-source community behind it and is improving every single day. The summary above highlights just some of the work that has been shipped over the past month. During the launch, Tomasz Patan takes the personal hoverbike in the air, gliding through a valley and around a forest. The company hasn’t yet revealed the pricing of the superbike yet. Even the complete commercial plan is yet to be disclosed by Volonaut. tired: Claude Code ports my personal website to a new framework wired: Claude Code generates a command center UI where I can execute the port! with live feedback, including a side-by-side preview of old / new site 😎 this is an example of what I call an "AI HUD" -- a "heads-up display" that gives me visibility into what's going on. i can see: - what terminal commands are running - what files are being created on disk - a live running preview of the old / new website (!) this HUD was actually my third attempt at doing this task, and I liked it the best. here's why I landed there: I wanted to move from middleman to astro for my personal site. These are both static site generators that output html, so I suspected an AI agent could do a good job with a port -- since it could compare old / new build output and try to match. Attempt 1: Agent I just had Claude Code do the port. It went pretty well. But it was hard for me to review what had happened! The git diff was dozens of new files and it was hard to tell how they mapped to the old site. I think the LLM also tried directly writing some files rather than doing deterministic copying, which felt dangerous. Attempt 2: Script I realized a better approach was to have Claude Code write a script that would do the port. The script would execute shell commands like "copy all the markdown files from this directory into this other directory in the new site". This worked much better because I could review the *process* rather than the *results*. Still, even with a nicely commented script, it felt like I was doing a lot of work to review. I wondered: how could I make it ridiculously easy to review this? Attempt 3: HUD Enter the command center! This is an entire web app that I had Claude build just for this one task. I can click buttons to run each step of the port, and watch the new website gradually materialize. It has a node server that runs on my local machine that executes commands on my filesystem and coordinates dev servers for the old/new site. And then a web UI that talks to that server to visualize terminal commands, file trees, and live running previews. It's a HUD because I feel like I can ambiently see everything that the port process is doing 🧐 Was this whole thing worth making for this one-time task? I'm not sure, maybe it was overkill 😅 But it did help me feel more confident that I understood what was going on, and total time was still less than it would have taken me to do the whole port by hand! One way to look at this experience is: "AI can put absurd amounts of effort into a pull request description." What do I mean by that? Well, a PR description is a way to communicate a code change to a human. Typically we do that by writing a bit of text, because that's all we have time for. But given more time and effort, we can do better! An interactive command center / HUD can help a person understand what a code change is actually doing. Historically you'd never imagine investing the effort to do that for a single PR. But now it's within the realm of possibility. So, next time you have an agent do something for you, and you wish you understood better what it was doing, consider: instead of just asking for textual descriptions, maybe ask the agent to make you a HUD!

I vibe coded and built a sprite animation pipeline 🛠️ (Day 22 of making the engine+game) ⬇️ Watch the video if you don't wanna read the wall of text - it directly shows what I do. Shoutout to Jidé ✨ for showing me a paper on black/white combination to get alpha, it's the cleanest method yet, and to Cursor for enabling this entire journey. If you prefer the wall of text here you go: The hardest part of using general image models for 2D sprites isn’t getting a nice-looking frame, it’s getting consistent motion across a whole sprite sheet. You can fake a sheet, but frames won’t align, timing drifts, and you end up with weird artifacts. Even if you manually cut frames + interpolate, the animation often looks “off” because each frame is basically a new interpretation, not the same character evolving over time. This is especially noticeable with public API models like gpt-image-1.5 and Nano Banana. Some custom LoRAs for open models exist, but this is intended for less techy folks. My workaround: use a video model first, then post-process into a sprite sheet. Render the animation over a solid background (white/black/magenta/green), then chroma-key it out (my engine tool supports this). If the motion stays inside the silhouette, this works surprisingly well. You can do this in almost any video editing software too! The catch: keying almost always leaves an “aura” (edge spill). My best results come from interpolating the keyed animation with a clean base sprite, so you keep crisp edges and only “borrow” motion/detail where needed. If the animation extends outside the silhouette (tree branches, hair wisps, foliage), I usually skip “true sprite animation” and do it with shaders instead. Keying can’t fully remove halos there, no matter how much feathering/tuning you do. Another annoying issue: pixel corruption. AI rarely generates a perfectly flat background (pure #000000 or #FF00FF). That tiny noise breaks clean extraction and creates crawling garbage pixels around the subject. For clean base sprites (and even PBR maps), a useful trick is generating the same asset on white + black backgrounds and deriving alpha from the difference. This is basically a matte workflow: white = opaque, black = transparent. It fixes aura… but you’d need it per-frame to fix animation, which is still hard. For simple pixel art (single-digit frames), you can sometimes generate a sprite sheet, then ask the model to recreate it on black/white while preserving alignment… but it’s still manual-heavy. Honestly, at this point, for some projects it’s easier to go 3D → 2D and render clean sprites/maps directly. But I still love pushing “pure 2D” and seeing how far we can take it. Thanks for reading!
