Solo Game Developer Mark recently went viral for recreating Diablo 2 in first-person using Unreal Engine 5. More of this project:

Developer makes one area and adds Diablo 2 sounds and calls it Diablo 2. This isnt Diablo. Why is daytime? Why are you mounting objects?

A fireball, some sound effects and music don't make this Diablo lol. This looks like a VR title. Hahaha.

Love the concept. As much as I loved Diablo 1 and 2 as a kid, both the isometric perspective as well as click to move control scheme are not things I enjoy these days vs the other options. Like take path of exile for example, I love the character building and gearing, but I’d have much preferred the sequel play like a third person hack and slash action game where the regular mobs feel like a dynasty warriors experience, the elites are like dueling a strong officer, and the boss battles feel like a Devil May Cry boss.

I wish @Diablo would, but they won’t.

This is how I imagined diablo 3 as a kid.

It's better in third person so you can see the armor you're using (a classic in Diablo)

You need situational awareness in Diablo, you can’t get that from first person perspective. It is kind of a cool idea though.

It should be dark, at night, to capture the atmosphere of og, other than that, it's a cool concept.

I would play this! I'm not a fan of Diablo, mainly because I don't like top down or zerg rushes. I like FPS, hooked since TES:Arena and Doom. This reminds me of Hexen or Heretic, which were great fun!
