Solving The Social Security Issue in 60 Seconds

SS has been a losing Ponzi scheme since the day the first recipient, Ida May Fuller, received her first payment. The math has never lied, even the most rudimentary private investment beats out SS in the long run. GWB had a lot of faults but proposing a path for younger people to transition to a privatized retirement system wasn't one of them. It's a real shame the short sighted Boomers and politicians beholden to them torpedoed that effort of his.

@Fat_Electrician @TheAKGuy Most people leave out the "I" part in SSI. The idea behind it was to give Insurance money to widows once their husband died due to life expectancy being lower for men vs women. It was never intended to be viewed as a source for retirement. It's still a good fund for wars though.

@Fat_Electrician @TheAKGuy So he wants to cut social security because the government misuses the funds and replace it with something that's funded by the same government that fucked up social security....yeah that totally cheks out what could go wrong
