Mayor Mamdani said Thursday that he wants all of New York State to subsidize the illegals being harbored in NYC. He also wants to raise taxes on the rich and corporations in NYC. Gov. Hochul has already rejected raising taxes, but Mamdani keeps pushing and demeaning her stance. NYC has wasted billions in recent years on illegals. Instead of helping deport them, Mamdani pledges to do everything he can to obstruct ICE from removing them from the US. A Japanese blogger criticized a Chinese influencer for being annoying in Nara, Japan. Here are my thoughts on this: First of all, the video wasn't even shot in Nara—it was taken at a zoo in China. Before pointing fingers, people should at least get their facts straight. I'll admit, I do find this girl's behavior somewhat annoying as well. But the truth is, it's not just China—countries all over the world have plenty of low-bar influencers who chase views with cheap, low-effort content. This is a global issue, not a problem unique to any one country. As for the deer in Nara, they have injured tourists from many different countries. Instead of putting all the blame on visitors, the local government should reflect on the situation and implement proper safety measures to prevent further incidents.
