Gaspar Noé on Uli Edel's 'Christiane F.' (1981): "We had some film references also in mind when we shot 'Climax' (2018). Like the most unexpected one, probably, is 'Christiane F.' (1981). The truth is that many men are naturally timid and fearful. Social media algorithms reward crazy, sensational, outrageous videos. So when you see these clips, and I’m sure both of you have seen them, of some girl doing squats at the gym while recording herself, with a caption underneath like, “Oh my God, some creep just looked at me,” guys watch that and think, “Oh, girls don’t even want to be looked at in public.” So they go into this mode of eyes forward, blinkers on, don’t look at anyone, don’t make any woman think you might be interested in her. But most women at the gym are probably either indifferent to being noticed, or, if they’re single, maybe even positively inclined to being approached in a normal, respectful way. The problem is that men see the video and think that is reality. They get this distorted view of what women are actually like in public. The other thing is that a lot of guys use Me Too, or these videos of women posting mean comments about men, as a justification for what pickup artists call approach anxiety. They’re already afraid of approaching women. I wanted to see what Hy4 preview could actually do when I gave it a real creative project instead of another “write me some code” prompt. So I went with something I’d genuinely want to play: 🐬 a cute dolphin as the hero 🌊 colorful underwater worlds 💎 glowing pearls to collect 🐠 sea creatures and obstacles 🪸 coral reefs, bubbles & hidden treasure 🎮 smoother animations and progressively harder levels The result is this underwater platformer 👇 And this is where Hy4 preview gets interesting to me. Behind the scenes, we’re talking about 770B parameters, 49B active parameters and a 1M+ token context window. It’s also fully open-sourced. But big numbers only matter if they translate into something useful. What I’m really testing is how much actual work the model can take off my plate understanding the idea, handling the implementation, keeping all the moving parts connected, and getting from a blank canvas to something that feels like a real experience. And there’s another update that makes this even more interesting: Hy4 preview was upgraded yesterday to significantly reduce both conversation turns and token consumption. That means less back-and-forth, faster thinking, and a smoother overall experience when working through complex tasks. That’s also why the cost-effectiveness angle stands out to me. If a model can handle more of the workflow while using fewer tokens and requiring fewer iterations, the value isn’t just in the benchmark score. It’s in how much more you can actually build with it. My RLM finally went recursive! Looking at these logs is way too addictive please send help. Notes: > Sent it 10 long wikipedia articles about deep learning (~2M context). > Asked it to find BLEU scores from Attention paper & explain MHA from these articles > RLM controlled by the new Minimax 2.5 ! Minor prompt changes were needed from the RLM paper. > Spends first 3 iterations understanding data format, works through errors, until it locates the Attention article from the mess. Like a human would use a Jupyter Notebook. > Launches subagent on only AIAYN article > This subagent launches 2 more subagents to fetch (a) BLEU score and (b) MHA (my original two-part question) > The lowest subagent returns the output using "FINAL_VAR" (i.e. it does not generate the text! Just finds the correct location in the context and sends it back as a variable) > Recursion propagates upwards > Outermost LLM recieves the RLM output, and generates the full text response. > Took 2.5 minutes walltime. Max recursion depth level was 2. 12 LLM calls in total. (This video contains cuts when the LLM is thinking/generating) > Subagents never gets to see more than 2000 characters. Only the outermost LLM gets to see the full output - it's needed to answer the final question, but its only 200-300 tokens compared to 2M! > Fully async. Code execution and subagent tasks can happen simultaneously! I feel soooo satisfied. Been some time since I've been this excited about shooting a tutorial video.

So I have currently been playing and streaming the early access for 14 hours STRAIGHT! and I have played a BUNCH of Gorr. Here are some changes that NEED to be done to Gorr before he releases on Friday (Tomorrow) FIRST POINT: Starting off is Gorr's shift (Living abyss) can't grab healthpacks nor can it TP. Abilities similar to Gorr's shift (Living abyss) is Hood's fade, Cloaks fade and Scarlet witches fade. All of those can both grab health packs and TP while they are in their respective forms. If you want to make the argument that it's like a Hela bird, then Gorr when getting knocked while using his Shift, the cooldown shouldn't get used like the Hela bird doesn't. And a big feature that the Hela bird has that Gorr doesn't is that she can B-hop. I personally think its really worth mentioning that part since any extra movement on a Melee character is very much needed as you need to close the gap. SECOND POINT: His Ult literally nerfs him in some scenarios. If you have the upgraded Hela teamup and you use the Scythe by either using his TP (F) or popping the teamup directly, everytime you use your M1 you gain overhealth. Now when you use the ult while having the upgraded Hela teamup and you use something that should proc the scythe (Teleport or teamup) and you hit someone, you don't get that same overhealth that you would without your ultimate. A ultimate being weaker than the basekit in any shape or form is simply bad or overlooked design. I think it should be fixed. THIRD AND FINAL POINT: Similar to the first point, Gorr should NEVER lose his cooldowns on his movement abilities (His teleport and his fade) if he gets knocked while using them. Not STUNNED or SNARED or ROOTED or EARTHBOUND. Simply being KNOCKED both stops his movement AND eats the cooldown. I think this is a big mistake and it should be changed. A dive character being punished this hard on movement that already feels semi-clunky is extremely BAD and should be changed as soon as possible. I love NetEase Games_EN and playing and i know they will do us justice by saving this amazing release of a character. Below is a vid of everything I just explained very simply. My take : Rarely do I personalise stories. But sometimes one must. Because I come from privilege. And let me use a cliché here - agency. I am fortunate to have both. I come from Haryana. I am married to someone who hails from western Uttar Pradesh. To say that either state ranks poorly on gender justice indices would be the polite version of the truth. My husband and I are also fortunate to still have familial roots in our ancestral villages. And every time I visit whether my village or his -the blessing is almost always the same: “Dudho nahao, puto phalo.” .. back in in the cities ... it translates loosely to: may you be the mother of a hundred sons - . In the village it's always said Literally In the city rarely said aloud but very precisely understood: may you become the mother of sons, because in this country even one son can dramatically elevate a families social standing. A son becomes status. Security. Social capital. He is the lifelong investment expected to yield lifelong returns. The one relationship through which hierarchy can be asserted - just by the virtue of gender - a son - And so the logic begins early. If there are only two glasses of milk, the son gets one not the daughter, sometimes not even the mother. If there is money for only one child’s education, it goes to the son, even if the daughter is brighter, more ambitious, more capable. Investment, after all, is expected to bring returns. And from that logic flows an entire ecosystem: dowry, control, dependence, harassment, silence. What we often describe as “tradition” is, in reality, an economic and social structure built around the premium value assigned to sons. Even when the son is getting married - the privilege of that association is understood to be so acute that the girls family should naturally bear all expenses of the wedding . Here I am freely flying through 3D Gaussian Splats scenes trained from these impromptu captures. It has been several years now since I've developed a real passion for 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and—for the last two and a half years—radiance fields. We actively use these technologies on a professional level at Dpt. , but this is also a personal passion of mine. I love capturing scenes, places, people, moments in time—memories. I enjoy the process of doing it; yes, capturing several hundreds of photos at a time, going in circles around a 'subject' for 15 minutes—all of which can drive my family nuts when they're with me. In Scarface, you never once see Manny snort cocaine. This was a deliberate choice by Brian De Palma. He even cut out a scene where Manny was doing coke in a jacuzzi with three naked women. The women lead This show is about women trying to survive in a world run by men and money. Kimmie is raw and real. Mallory is smart but trapped. You root for both, even when they make bad choices. 3. It talks about real stuff Poverty, colorism, family pressure, and how far people go for success. It’s dramatic, but there’s truth under all the twists. What I didn’t like: It can be too dramatic sometimes. Plot twists every 5 minutes. Some acting is hit or miss. If you don’t like Tyler Perry’s style, this won’t change your mind. People mostly talk about the reveal about the "beauty empire." Without spoilers: what the family is really selling isn’t what you think. That twist got everyone.
