Some details about the hydrant management system that we have introduced. KWSC has 7 hydrants for 7 districts of Karachi & all of these are physically and electronically monitored. Only tankers registered with KWSC are allowed to fill water from these hydrants

We have a problem with water tanker mafias in the city. When we took a decision to reduce our use of water tankers these mafias, with riffles, attempted to prevent access to hydrants. The City is in the process of procuring its own water takers for emergency supply. We are appearing before CoGTA joint Parliamentary committee this afternoon. City of Tshwane

Tshwane-owned water tankers are on the road providing water to residents. We recently announced that we are abandoning contracted services for water tankers. From 1 April, City staff have been working to provide water to residents in need. We visited Hammanskraal hydrant collection points this morning along with Ward Councillors and MMC for Utility Services Cllr Frans Boshielo. While work is underway to stabilise water supply through infrastructure maintenance and repairs, residents must continue to receive adequate water supply. All these efforts form part our Water Stabilisation Plan that’s backed by funding from the City’s budget. City of Tshwane

The City of Los Angeles attempted to charge citizens up to $35,000 for fire hydrants!! Thanks Mayor Bass! These are victims of ineptitude, gross negligence, bad policy of Bass and Newsom. And now, WE are asked to pay FOR NEW HYDRANTS THAT HAD NO WATER. This is what we’re dealing with in the Palisades post-fire. No breaks. I was informed that there are some water logging issues around the area of Guru Mandir so visited the area. Guru Mandir was clear but there was water on Jahangir Road and KMC and KWSC teams were also present. Stones and ginny bags have been found and are being taken out by our team

The system was not meant that not -- we don't think there is anything that says… We are getting them out. And a judge cannot say no, you have to have a trial. The trial is going to take two years. No, we are going to have a very dangerous country if we are not allowed to do what we are entitled to do.

I could have not reached your water collection centre because of financial constraints but am thankful to God that about 35 like these have been achieved by my foundation . Much as we are still retaining these traditional WELLS, it’s time to upgrade to piped water system
