Some folks asked about HDMI-CEC functionality. Works as you would expect. It controls the TV just as a console would. For those interested, the is all working though a $50 HDMI-CEC adapter on Amazon (Steam OS comes with the drivers pre installed) FYI - I did have to do... some configuration (which Bazzite already has out of the box)show more

here's a better option that's cheaper and work at full HDMI 2.1 capabilities out of the box with full CEC functionality all you need to have is official SteamOS and it'll work like a charm

Out of the box without a single tinker or settings it just works You need to have official SteamOS installed though as Bazzite and CachyOS doesn't have HDMI-CEC control built in

Keep in mind that you need THIS specific adapter as i tried other similar models and it didn't work

Also because SteamOS doesn't officially support full HDMI 2.1 badwith Keep in mind that any higher refresh rate than 120hz at 4k will result in graphical glitches 4k 120Hz is fully stable and with the adapter you can control the steam interface with the TV remote

Never tried it with windows but my guess would be no since i can't find an HDMI-CEC based setting on Windows

Full 4k 60 actually. It’s HDMI 2.0 (not 2.1 which would allow for 4k 120 but this machine couldn’t handle that anyway)

Question, my steam machine build wont resume from sleep, do you have this issue? I have a cec adapater yet when it goes to sleep it just hard locks up, have to force restart the entire pc to be able to get it to come back

Could be a million things but I find this is usually a Bios setting. You should check in your bios if wake from USB is turned on as well as ERP being enabled

unfortunately all of those check boxes have been checked, no matter what if put to sleep it hard locks the system, apparently its just a bug with steam OS currently and haven't discovered any remedy.
