Some interesting stuff here from Bret Bielema. He says Illinois prioritizes NIL for players who have proven themselves AT Illinois, rather than offering guys a ton of money to come TO Illinois. "[If] you come in and prove, and play winning football at Illinois, you're going to be getting taken care of us as good as anybody." Says he doesn't think the #Illini have ever given an incoming freshman more than $150K. "It's just how we do it," he says, reiterating that different strategies might work for different places.

Well… this is fun. If you’re into music videos, Higgsfield AI 🧩 feels plug & play. Most go-to camera setups for ads and MVs are pretty much here. They even added a preset no one asked for 😆😅 (watch the end of the clip). Most of the time I didn’t even prompt. I just fed the images I generated from Reve and Hailuo AI (MiniMax) Image-01, picked a preset, and hit generate. I think as long as your image has clear intent, it should work fine. Might try a full proper MV with Midjourney V7 next 👍

To the approx. 3,500+ new tech/nerd followers I've somehow amassed in the last few weeks, this is a reminder to the new ones: while I might post some fun memes and other stuff, UwU_Underground makes some banger educational and amazing music about APTs, vendor mess-ups, infosec drama, etc. Before you write off what they do without looking further, I would like to at least share why I like their project. Their music is fire, and they put a TON of soul and work into it. They write their own lyrics, do their own vocals, work in the tech industry, put an enormous amount of manual work into producing their music, which is why it should come as no surprise after giving their music a listen that half of them have some sort of professional experience in the music industry in some way. They do use some forms of AI to process their vocals to remain anonymous. There is a reason for this: The group consists of six women. Five of them work professionally and actively in infosec. In this day and age, when so many people, especially women, are punished professionally for being loud or a little too honest about their opinions on our profession or what they see happening in this industry or threat landscape, I think it's amazing that folks are using their creative energy in such a positive way and finding ways to be themselves without retaliation. There's a little part of me that is sad these women have to remain anonymous to speak and express themselves freely, but I absolutely respect that anonymity if it means they can continue to be protected to do what they do. Some of us have passed the stage of begging anybody. If Peter Obi is not tired of doing this his rubbish politics, then it is about time we call his bluff. The fact that you love Nigeria, is not enough for you to be unnecessarily selfish. The last election was won by the party in power because the opposition lost and the opposition lost because of failure to come together as one to form a united front against the ruling APC. When an opportunity for people of like-minds to come together to make Nigeria works, it is not the time for demoralizing statements and divisive statements. At a time when like-minds are coming together for Nigeria to come together, Peter Obi was going on air to say he is not interested in any coalition. If the coalition does not work this year then by next year Nigeria would have become a one-party State. Alot of Nigerians came out to vote in 2023 due to the expected credibility of INEC. In 2027, a divided opposition can't defeat a sitting President. This is fact. By 2027, the sentiment of South will not be in Peter Obi's favour again as by then President Tinubu would have done 4 years already. Worst still, Peter Obi, would by 2031, if the coalition to unseat Tinubu fails, succeed in destroying the political fortunes of the Southeast in as much as national politics is concerned. Like I said earlier on, I am not begging anybody. At worst, we will all support Tinubu, come 2027. People are suffering. Let us find a workable solution. Call it anything but the coalition must come together. Peter Obi should not be making divisive statements such as the one he made today regarding the idea of coalition, as such statement of his keeps bringing down the morale of everyone. At worst, Tinubu will win re-election. Peter Obi's selfish politics is becoming annoying. If he is not ready to play politics, he should retire from politics let those who are ready to play the politics come forward and indeed rescue Nigeria from APC already.

Young players need time to integrate into the best team in the world because here, there are. players of a very, very high level, and the competition is extremely tough. many ppl asked these years if yang yang is retired since doesn't come out often, well here u go 🐑: during that period, people didn't like me as much, so I came out to meet everyone less often.. 💔 yang yang: as an actor, you actually get more attention, and everyone has many expectations of you. over the past two years, I haven't appeared in front of the audience that often. (hesitates).. well, it's okay to talk about it, just face it bravely, right? these past two years, I really haven't been in the public eye much, because for some roles, people at the time might have felt the effect wasn't that great. and I also felt that maybe during that period, people didn't like me as much, so I came out to meet everyone less often. instead, I just stayed grounded, as an actor, and tried to take on some different roles and perform them well. I think any role you encounter at any point in time and the whole process, is a valuable experience, as well as an opportunity for everyone to help me grow. I'm also very grateful for all the criticism and so on that I've received before. so, I think the most important thing is just to do what an actor should do, and do it well. (rough translation)

For someone like me (celebrity), it just feels too far away. 👨🏻With your current status, it’s something many people would be more concerned about. 🦁Yes. Actually, people mostly see me when I’m working, but the version of me at work isn’t my true self. First of all, in front of so many people at those events, it’s impossible for me to appear in a completely relaxed manner, and I can’t do some of the things I normally do in private. So basically, as a public figure, you always have to present your best self in front of the audience, without flaws. But who doesn’t have flaws? 👨🏻But I think you’re very genuine in how you present yourself. 🦁 I try as much as possible.

My upcoming release of "Cinematic AI" has made me think about how bodies of work are formed. I think some are manifested and some are revealed. I think "Cinematic AI" falls into the latter category. It was not something I had a clear vision for and then created, but it was something that was revealed to me over time. I thought I saw a glimmer of it early on, but only after some time had past, could I see the body of work emerge. With a bit more context and watching great artists and how they work and think, it finally came to me that this series of 15-20 pieces that I had created could be a worthy collection to mint. AI art has been going through so many transformations from the early GAN work to Collaborative AI to now AI being widely accessible through platforms like MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, and many others. But one area that I have seen explode in recent months is cinematic AI. I distinguish this from animated AI, which has been around for a while, but cinematic AI is where the movements created by AI are getting closer to what you'd see in a movie or captured on a video camera. It still has a long way to go but it is getting more real than surreal as the technology develops. And this is where I seem to have found my groove, my home, my little corner in the artistic landscape. After Runway launched their image-to-video tool, it just blew my mind and I went down a deep rabbit hole and have created a new cinematic AI piece almost every other day for the past few months. I initially saw many of these pieces as just experiments, but with some time to reflect, I am seeing them as having the potential of being relevant pieces of artwork to mark this time in the development of AI. In some cases, I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to create a similar piece again, since the tools I use are not in my control, but in the control of the AI platforms, who are constantly improving and evolving the tools. Given all of this, there is no better way to mark my place in time than on the blockchain. I truly believe that this body of work has the potential to be an important artifact of this era in AI and AI art. It is always hard to judge ones own work, but what I can do is permanently etch in time on an immutable public database saying that I created this. Only time will tell if the work has any value or is of any significance, but who created it and what was created cannot be disputed. I hope this gives you and especially collectors some perspective on the work I'll be releasing next week. I'm still very early in my artistic journey, but hopefully some of you will see promise in what I'm doing and maybe even put in a early bet on my art practice by bidding on a piece next week. NEWS: FCC Chairman Brendan Carr insinuated to Benny Johnson that they are looking at taking action against Disney, ABC, and Jimmy Kimmel after he claimed Charlie Kirk’s alleged kiIIer is a MAGA conservative.
