I understand being a picky eater, that’s fine, many of us have had phases like this where we just eat the same thing over and over. Some do it because they don’t have time to eat and they get what’s convenient. But things taking it to the next level, eating over processed junk to the point she hasn’t used the bathroom in weeks is way too extreme. I never heard of having to go into surgery to have it removed because it was this bad. I think even is someone is picky, they always like more than just one thing, maybe switch it up, add something with a little more substance to help keep things going.

There are some folks who will tell you that’s just the way it is, and that’s just a free market, and that’s just because that’s the value of that property. But I want us to consider a different understanding of this. I really think that someone values their first home—their only home—a lot more than they value their 10th. And the value of us not being one paycheck away from the street is way bigger than the marginal tax value of someone’s write-off house that I’m sure some people even forget they have. We have to make sure that everyone can just have a shot. That’s what this is about.
