Out of respect I won’t move it out of the way only for them to come back and have to explain themselves anyways. Would you have understood the etiquette or is it just a free for all? When I first started working out I was unfamiliar with the gym etiquette. Some people just got done with a hard set and need to stand up and walk for a few moneys or get a drink of water and they use it as their rest period so that they can go back at it. Interrupting that process is the same thing as booting them off the machine mid workout. It’s rude and uncalled for but why does it keep happening? I think what it is, is that some people are very judgmental, they see others and think that they are more serious about working out than the other person so that to them it means they are entitled to use it first because their workouts are more important. I used to let them do that to me but no more. I treat it as first come first serve, if they don’t want to wait then maybe they need to avoid the gym during peak hours. This is the very reason I work out in the middle of the night most of the time. I rather not be bothered and if I need to take my time I can, most of the time nobody else is even there anyways when I go.

What do you do when you are at the gym trying to get it in and someone comes up to you claiming you’ve been on the machine long enough? Do you get off? These gym Karen’s are getting bolder and bolder everyday. This young lady was trying to finish her workout in the machine when another woman attempted to kick her off of it because she’s in a rush. The woman claimed the young lady was already on the machine for 10 minutes and felt entitled enough to say that it’s her turn now. What would you do? I would ignore her in hopes she walks away, at least the whole thing is on camera so she can report it. After working out for about 30 years now, I can say that most of the time gym people are pretty chill people. Every so often I see some Karen types beginning to come in and ruin the experience for other people. What I hate is they try to rush me off the machine only for them to sit there and scroll on their phone. I used to avoid the confrontation by just letting them use it, I can always come back to it I would say to myself. i’m sorry but people who came after their enlistment acting like it was some sort of vacation for them will never understand how hard it was for them get separated like this and how it tore them apart everytime a member left. it was so hard to see them struggling and having a tough time but as a fan you could do nothing but wait for them to come back. even when they weren’t here they made sure their absence isn’t felt and released music and content they filmed before going and asking us “will you stay?”
