Cornell University is being sued by a former student, who alleges she went to a Chi Pi fraternity party in 2024 and was drugged and raped by seven men. She alleges a man at the frat house sent a message to the frat's Snapchat group chat suggesting a woman was available for sex. She claims she was raped for hours and filed a report with the university police department about three weeks later. According to the woman’s complaint and her lawyer, none of the men were arrested and that after an investigation, only two of the accused were expelled. She is now suing the school and the fraternity members. Cornell said in a statement it "investigated and adjudicated the allegations consistent with university policies." Two years after a former Cornell student says she was drugged, assaulted and gang-raped by 7 fraternity members, prosecutors are taking another look at the case. Jane Doe makes the allegations against seven members of Cornell’s Chi Phi fraternity in a new civil lawsuit. The Tompkins County District Attorney says his office has now assigned an experienced sex-crimes prosecutor to prepare the case for a grand jury. If jurors vote to indict, the DA says his office will prosecute "to the fullest extent of the law." But an attorney for one of the accused is pushing back, saying the focus should be on whether the DA and Cornell "dropped the ball" two years ago, rather than attacking the students.

Breaking: New York prosecutors are reopening the investigation into the gang rape at a Cornell University fraternity in 2024. A lawsuit from the victim reveals she was drugged and raped by 7 fraternity members of Chi Phi and includes evidence from a group chat in which one of the perpetrators wrote: "Free Pussy upstairs.” The lawsuit also reveals Cornell University turned a blind eye to the gang rape by only expelling 2 of the accused perpetrators while allowing the remaining 5 to write essays to avoid discipline. This is the same Cornell University that suspended 4 students for protesting against Israel’s genocide so according to this “higher institution” drugging and raping women is ok, but protesting genocide is not. It also shows what a backwards country we live in when a so-called Ivy League college thinks writing an essay is an appropriate response to rape instead of handcuffs and prison. Finally, while it is welcomed news that prosecutors are presenting the case to a grand jury it should not take the victim having to file a lawsuit and widespread public backlash for prosecutors to do their jobs. "Somebody knew more." New York Gov. Kathy Hochul says she is "deeply disturbed" by Cornell University Police's handling of the investigation into a young woman's allegations that she was raped by fraternity members. Hochul says Cornell police were the first to interview the woman, but prosecutors say they did not receive a separate transcript in which she told investigators, "I can say with 100 percent confidence I was raped." "Somebody knew more than they were letting people know... This is what shocks me so much, not just as the governor, but as a mother."

The smoking gun in the Cornell gang rape case is that Jane Doe told campus police she was raped, and they intentionally omitted this from the 6-page summary given to prosecutors: “I can say with 100% confidence that I was raped.” Omitting that statement is a full-blown cover-up by campus police to protect the rapists. Another smoking gun is that one of the fraternity brothers who was downstairs told campus police that he questioned whether it was consensual and was sorry for not stopping it: “I was sorry that if it wasn’t consensual and she was victimized, I was sorry for not stopping it.” Too many people jumped to conclusions in this case without reviewing the facts and the facts show Cornell campus police engaged in a cover up by failing to provide prosecutors with the victim’s own statement where she says she was raped.
