But standard view uses ensembles of these infinite velocity trajectories - shouldn't physics use more physical smooth trajectories? Surprisingly, it leads to lightly different distributions:

Interesting but I remain skeptical. When we say "nature takes all possible paths" it may very well be us missing dimensions. Think of how light takes the shortest path in spacetime. If we didn't know about relativity, one could also state light took the quickest of all paths.
