I know some of Satya's points about AI's effect on productivity were not perceived well but, honestly, I think this time saving aspect is a very practical way to measure the effects of what is happening (right now at least). Even before AGI/ASI rolls out, getting ubiquitous and cheap AI plugged in to business and gov processes everywhere is gonna be a massive rocket thruster for growth.

i hope to see an agent which allows for tasks that take weeks, like calculating the observed cross section for rare decay modes at lhc anyone working on a phd today knows it’s a long way off from doing experimental physics (even just the pure-computer part)

The fridge still works great, but there are three unsightly dents. He reached out to Lowe’s and they took $500 off of the total price, so he ended up getting it for only $500.
