That is a made up story. Nathaniel was just praying under the fig tree. Before Jesus got there. No need to embellish.

A beautiful plausible story, but I lean solely on Sola Scriptura. The Father who sees heartfelt prayers in secret rewarded Nathanael openly.

Praise holy JESUS!

I like how @thechosentv did this verse but the way this guy explains it is WAY better. I can imagine the flashback to harrod killing infants and Nathanael’s mom running to hide him under a fig tree and Jesus being there the whole time

WOW!

Rabi, I’m humble before you 🙏🏻😔

That’s awesome! You know what else Jesus said? “Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!” @grok why do you think Jesus would say this? Was it unusual to find an Israelite with no guile?

@grok is this right

Whatever took place under that tree, it was a place of secret prayer. Only knowable to Nathaniel and God Almighty. Have you ever received acknowledgement from God to a secret prayer of your heart?

America, We are Nathaniel Our Flag is Our Fig Tree

Can someone explain to me how a man who comes from the Middle East can look like an average European? Coincidentally, of course—just like people from one of the largest groups of followers.

Beautiful 🙏

Wow!

Thank you for that. I always wondered what Jesus was talking about that would prompt Nathaniel’s absolute conviction that he’s the son of God.

Those manuscripts were way after Jesus
