Rooted in the African diaspora on the island of Hispaniola, Palo is a syncretic tradition that combines dance, music, and sometimes linked to death rituals where the spirit is believed to possess a dancer. The Orisha of the sea and motherhood. The movements, which include undulating the torso and lifting the skirt, symbolize the nurturing, deep, and sometimes violent nature of the ocean. It's not often you see Dino Di Laurentiis and Michael Chrichton on the same billing, but this Victorian heist movie was adapted from Crichton's book of the same name and optioned by the Italian producer in 1975. Sean Connery did most of his own stunts in this, though apparently the train was going much faster than he had been told. Donald Sutherland is appropriately eccentric, Lesley-Anne Down adds a touch of glamour and dancer Wayne Sleep even makes an appearance as "Clean Willy" Williams. It's sort of based on an actual heist and many characters are inspired by real life Victorian cracksmen and cat burglars. The dialogue is plodding sometimes, but it's a fun romp once it gets going and the period details mainly seem to be in order.

Sometimes referred to as the “First Lady of Song” and “Queen of Jazz”, she was known for her purity of tone, impeccable diction, phrasing, timing, intonation and a “horn-like” improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing. $💬 review P'Perth : 🦊 Phi Perth is actually one of the very first people I got to know when I entered GMMTV because we really started talking around the time of our first company outing, or something like that. At that time, Phi Perth was also very kind. 🦊 after that we kept meeting up. Whenever anything comes up, Phi Perth is like a great older brother who always gives advice. Especially when it comes to cars, for example, Phi Perth often sends me things to look at. Back then I also... I was just looking around, and Phi Perth often sends me this and that to check out... 🦊 Yeah, he's someone who I think cares a lot about the people around him.
