For most women, the problem isn't the strength to rack a slide, the problem is the increased complexity of a semi. Simple truth is many women aren't going to practice regularly & revolvers are simple. Simple is better for people who aren't gun enthusiasts who practice regularly.

M&P Shield 9mm is very difficult to rack. So much so they made a "girl" version that is easy. I agree though that they should be able to do so.
