I made the exact same tips to a friend during a round yesterday. He was also cross pivoting. He then proceeds to par the last three holes coming in. He wants to know when we can play again. I've created a monster.

His right hand simply went along for the ride while the lead side controlled the motion. Real world coaching here…..I figured many people work at their game on driving ranges with no special training aids at hand. So I’ve filmed ten ways a ball basket and an alignment stick can sort most issues in your swing 👌🏼⛳️🔥🫶🏻 Here’s the first one…..compressing an iron by creating a “left path” or “going around the corner”. At the start of this year, Phil Mickelson had a crushing ball speed of 165mph. Within 2 months he upped that to high 170’s and topping over 180. That’s an incredible jump for a man in his 50’s! He puts it down to training with speed sticks and explains how he has to change his release the faster he gets. “What I do notice is as I speed the swing up, I have to change the release point of my golf swing. I use length to create the leverage that I want, so it takes a lot of pressure off. But, as I do that, I have to change where the release is. But if I speed up, when I get down to the ball the face will be open. So I have to feel like I’m releasing the club a little bit earlier.” Lefty is a master at going deep in explaining the technicals of the golf swing.
