It took me time to realize and accept that, but now I prioritize my self.

My life got tremendously better when I stopped expectation anything from anybody.

I know the way I love is rare and not everyone is used to it. So I don’t expect anyone to match me, but I do need to feel some form of reciprocation, appreciation, and consistency.

That is one of the hardest things to learn in life. When people don't love or care as much as you do for other people. It's difficult to accept that reality.

I'm relearning to prioritize myself. A kind heart comes with the risk of bring taken advantage of by the very same people you would sacrifice for.

I agree with this point 100%, don’t expect reciprocity, if you do invariably you will be disappointed. When you receive reciprocity appreciate it, admire the experience and keep doing you by spreading joy in the world.
