Run defense definitely needs work and tbh saw this coming. Doesnt mean hes a bust thats just stupid people are saying that but he definitely has a weakness now. I just cant trust Dan Quinn at his current age to develop him. I would make Sonny an MLB and have him strictly stay far away from the LOS so he has a better view of the run which would help improve his run defense as the year progresses. First things first he needs to stop diving to a man and get blocked instantly he needs to shed some blocks like Leo Chenal did yesterday. He is way too good on paper to be instantly blocked and turned into a non factor in run defense. Regardless of it all its only his second game, I do expect him to play the third game vs Ravens to see if he can actually learn to shed the blocks and maybe take more time to read the play rather than go all in and jump to the first blocker he sees thats near the runner. Once he learns how to shed blocks he would reach his first purple patch in the NFL.

I could be bias but Reese LOOKS like the natural off ball LB out of him & Styles. Styles looks like a safety playing LB so far while Reese REALLY looks like a pro Mike backer imo. Im a Giants fan so maybe I see it one way. Im not saying who looks "better" tho, just movements

Solid tape, not one terrible player here other than the TD run but thats on 48 (the DE) and 3 (the S). Decision making needs a little bit of work aswell as run defense but overall solid

This is good tape. He plays gap sound, fights to get front side every block and had good drops in coverage. He does get hooked on that one snap. Would be nice to see him get sent on a couple blitzes.
