Build up to this dude was insane and boy did it paid off with this scene. Afterwards I feel like he was a bit underwhelming, too fitting in that stylised death obsessed universe.

They could literally copy the og animation 1:1 from the moment the anime original content started and adapt the rest of the manga and not a single person would be upset, soul eater has got to be one of the best examples of animation holding up almost 20 years later
