It was great to talk to Stephen A Smith about the current state of our union. As a country and as Democrats, we need to prioritize two core goals: restoring access and affordability to the American Dream and achieving educational excellence for our kids. Equity cannot be a core principle while we are complacent about educational mediocrity. As a nation, we are at a 30-year low in reading and math scores, and the average age of a first-time homeowner is at an all-time high of 40. It is time to set our priorities right and address what is wrong today in America. Our families and kids deserve better.

We can share the gospel with them and see the image of God in them, just as much in them as it is in us and our children. At the same time, we must be completely clear-eyed about the contradiction between the American way of life and the ideology of political Islam. We must do that. I think we are obligated to do that.

The best way to do that is having a set pre-pitch routine that they execute every pitch. A pre-pitch routine is simply what players do on a consistent basis in-between pitches. Most importantly, it’s how they breathe, focus, visualize, and talk to themselves. This is what helps them take control, keep it simple, and compete with all they’ve got ONE pitch at a time.
